I'm actually very confused as to why the Pats wouldn't have pulled the trigger on this guy at that price. DT is a huge need, obviously, and that's really nothing for money, as was Pot Roast - and they had to be the two best targets at that position.

This has been a confusing off-season so far, even by Patriots' standards.

Good read up on Fairley historically lazy.

To put it another way, the Rams have used as much draft capital (according to the draft chart) over the past 8 drafts, on first round d-linemen as the pats have had in total, for all picks.

Spiller to the Saints.

That means we're getting Bush! Yes!

Make it so!
Thought Dirty Birds would win

I really like this signing. Chandler will be a very nice compliment to Gronk and it takes away the one Bill on offense that kills us every year.

Gronk - 6'6"
Chandler 6'7"

Brady's going to have height over the middle...

So.... Patriots 'starting' offense:

Brady

Blount
3dRB (Bush?)

Gronk
Chandler
OhOh(?)/Wright(?)

Edelman
LaFell
Amendola
WR (Harvin? Gibson? Dorsey?)
Dobson (?)

Solder
Vollmer
Stork
Wendell
OG (Mathis?)

Plus they have a nice backup in case <gulp!> Gronk can't go.

We don't have a lot of $$, and with several DTs left out there that probably will all provide comparable services, best bet is to wait out and grab the cheapest.

Chandler great signing. Awesome.

Expanding on Chatham's tweet with Solder at 6'8", Herr Vollmer at 6' 7" and these guys, we may need a taller QB. How the Hell is Tom gonna find The Squirrel?

Don't forget 6'7" Solder and 6'6" Fleming, the man who thought the TD would be his, leaking out into the flats :D
