He's a real size mismatch. I think he would be good for us if he can come relatively cheap. Trying to stop Gronk AND Chandler in the redzone would be a nightmare for defenses!

Does anyone know what happened to Tim Wright? He looked good early in the season then seemed to get no playing time.

Maybe he breaks out next season as our #2 TE.

A single brick sitting on the turf can block better than Wright. That said, Hooman is no worldbeater when it comes to blocking either so Chandler should be able to come in on short money and be an improvement over either of those two.

If you cant throw a Block your pretty much useless at TE I think the Tim Wright experiment is over. Sign anbody not name Germain Gresham please. Also via the Draft Jesse Jame or Tyler Kroft *Rutgers* :) would be fine with me.

2-TE set with Gronk and Chandler, Edelman and LaFell on the outside and Harvin in the slot. Holy versatility. Imagine facing that in the hurry up. You could shift Harvin into the backfield and he would be a legitimate running threat. Double reverse screens to Edelman and Harvin. Shift both receivers to one side and block for Harvin or run a screen.

OR a 3-TE set with Gronk, Chandler and Wright, Edelman and Harvin out wide empty backfield... Harvin or Wright could shift into the backfield or the slot at any time...

Oops, I'm drooling.

Chandler fits the bill as one of those guys that killed the Pats so BB went out and signed him. He would be a great signing, no idea why the Bills let him go. a HUGE upgrade over the Hooman.

Narrowing a decision between Baltimore and New England means he wants to go to Baltimore but is using New England to get more out of Baltimore.

I gotta think he will rather go to Baltimore. He could be the guy there, but be the #2 TE here. Yeah, I know the Ravens signed Owen Daniels, but there is no guarantee Daniels would beat out Chandler. There is no way Gronk is going to lose his starting job to Chandler.

I think this too. He probably wants to get TE1 reps, which he'll get in Baltimore. In New England, he would just compliment Gronk.

Don't forget about Pitta.

FYI-Daniels signed w/ the Broncos.

Daniels is now a Bronco with Kubiak.

It is unclear if Pitta will ever play again. The Ravens won't know if he will play again until this summer. Odds are good he is done.

You are right. I was looking at an old depth chart. More reason for Chandler to go to the Ravens. He would immediately be #1 on the depth chart.

I'd be surprised if he comes here to sit behind Gronk.

Plus, I don't think Newsome has ever lost out on a player choosing between Baltimore or New England.

Derrick Mason,Steve Smith...Looks like BB isn't as good of a salesman.:)
