Sign the Beast XXXIV: Pats one of three teams interested in Terrance "Pot Roast" Knighton

No idea what final #'s will be for Knighton but you can bet it's about 70-120% more than the Pats ever had in mind for him, if they even considered it.

First few days of FA are always crazy and this year there is too much money chasing mid level players out of need. Too much cap space and no talent rosters all over the NFL.

EDIT: If the Knighton deal is really 1 year at 4 million there is something wrong with him and everyone knows it. Bizarre. No idea what is going on here.

Only 1 year/4 million.

Honestly that's not bad at all. Surprised we didn't try to match/top that.

Crap, a 1yr/4m deal is amazing. That's a steal for Washington.

Give me Fairley and either Wilfork, Branch or Bryant and call it a day at DT.
I struggle with Fairley here. I need some convincing.

Sorry, see my edited comment. I have ZERO idea what is up with that contract. To be fair I did not follow Broncos very much this year so I may have missed some things.

He is so fat, his blood type is Rocky Road.
The writing was on the wall when Oakland went for Dan Williams ahead of Knighton. That speaks volumes and given the sour taste a lazy, poorly conditioned Haynesworth left here, if BB decided it wasn't worth kicking the tires on Pot Roast, so be it.

Pot Roast just signed a one year 4 mil deal with Washington...why the heck would some sign a prove it deal with the Redskins???

Guys, plenty of teams needed a DT like Knighton. The fact everyone passed on him and all he got is 1yr/4mil is evident that he is grossly out of shape or not worth the trouble otherwise other teams would have jumped in.

Apparently he might have given the Redskins a discount to play. Chris Baker who plays for the Redskins is a friend of Knighton. They went to the same high school.

If Pot Roast only got 4mil, I am curious to know the AFC teams that are offering 10mil/2 for Vince. Seems strange.

I guess there is not a big market for big body none pass rushers

Im shocked we didnt think pot roast was worth that. Also agree we cannot value Big Vince higher at this point in his career.

He may not have accepted that deal from every team, may have been certain promises given to him to accept it, close friends, etc.

What surprises me is that Fairley got more than Knighton, Fairley might have more potential, but he's never come close to showing it as consistently as Knighton did over the past 2 seasons.

He also signed on the Rams where he probably won't get a chance to play on that DL.
