Interesting to see if winning the March Superbowl adds up to all it promises to be every year.

We like to minimize early moves around here, except when the Patriots make them.

Jets D is going to be elite next year. Already have a dominant D-line. Revis and Cromartie on the outside with Skrine in the slot? Might be the best secondary in the league.

AFC East is getting A LOT better. Might be the best division in the AFC next year.

Edit-

And they still have Dee Milliner...

Depends on Pryor and their safety play, more generally.

They did just give a fair sum to a good, but not great, cornerback.

Would LOVE to pick up Stills, Vaccaro, or Lewis. Any one of the three would be GREAT additions in my opinion.

Stills and Lewis would make me happy, but Vaccaro has been pretty disappointing.

That jets defense will be very good and thry added weapons on offense. Pats need to counter these moves wisely.

With all their signings, they could shift a CB over as their FS.

You like $11m/year for Maclin?
I think that's a little high, yeah, but I think he's a really good receiver. If they had paid around $9.5m a year I would have thought it to be perfect. I can't fault them for going slightly higher to lure him away from Philly. What's $1.5m a year when the cap keeps jumping up?
They are 1-2 players away from being my favorite to win in that division.
With the current state of the Broncos, they're already my favorite to win the division.

Maybe so. I'm not minimizing, just stating the reality that it's not often that the "best offseason" teams end up with lots of playoff success. Fans can and should be excited for moves like we where last year when we got Revis - I just think it's easy to say "our team has improved" during free agency when in fact the proof is 5, 6, 7 months away.

Revis, Cromartie, Brandon Marshall, Jets finally being competitive in the division.
God damn you Idzik for leaving us with all this money to sign players!

I should have been more clear about my post not being directed precisely at you. It was a generalization of how people take things around here.

My apologies.

Jets bring back Cromartie. Their defense is going to be very very good. Their secondary was their biggest problem. Lucky for us Cromart struggles vs the shifty guys like Edelman and Dola. But he should have success vs LaFell and with Bevis on Edelman that's not a good look.
Then unleash the Gronk

I might just be wearing blinders but I'm still not sure they've crawled out of 4th. Adding big name players doesn't instantly make you better, the Eagles learned that lesson the hard way.

The Bills and Dolphins were so far ahead of the Jets last season, and both of those teams were very far behind us.

Well Pats only beat the Jets, by 2 and 1 point in their two games. Jets improved (theoretically) so those games vs them are still going to be close ones. Can't look past them unlike other years.

Even prior to tearing his ACL, Milner's level of play was disappointing. It certainly didn't match his being picked #6

Very quiet day from our end. Looks like old times with the jests. Mevis and cromartie. They have the nasty d line as well. The afc east could be the best conference next season.
