Bad review from the UCLA pro day for Ellis McCarthy:

One prospect who has likely fallen out of the late rounds, and the 2015 NFL Draft altogether, is Ellis McCarthy. The junior defensive lineman chose to sit on his combine numbers and did only position drills. Offensive line position drills is as I'm told scouts did not want to work him out on the defensive line. Despite solid numbers at the combine, I'm told McCarthy did not look athletic, and one source at the pro-day used the word "brutal" to sum up his day.

Nick Caserio was at Rutgers. Tyler Kroft worked out and put up some good numbers:

Mike Lombardi was at USC's pro-day and they've got a number of interesting prospects. WR George Farmer who didn't work out at the combine ran a 4.35 forty

And this is an interesting one from the Marshall pro day:

He's 5-11 and listed between 177-182lbs so not very big but those are exceptional numbers. The Patriots scouts were in attendance. A name worth keeping in the back of your mind.

Roberts is #7, looks like a fluid athlete and it also looks to me like he's not so keen on contact.

With the Eagles open to trading Mathis, I'm now seeing Jake Fisher being mocked to the Eagles at 20. His pro-day will have helped:

Mariota did well but guy who really made lots of $$ today was OT Jake Fisher. Ultra-athletic. Moves around like pt guard. Possible 1st round

Shaq Mason ran a 5.08 forty and had a 1.78 10 yard split at Georgia Tech's pro day. Good numbers.

Georgia Tech OG Shaq Mason ran a 4.89 40, repped 225 25 times and posted a vertical of 32.0" today at the GT Pro Day.

And was worked out by Dante.

Seems like we might be forced to decide between Hardison and Marpet at the end of the second round.

Ouch. That would hurt. A lot.

One at the end of the 2nd round and a trade up for the other is still my hope. 96 + 100 (roughly) should get us to around #70.

Who knows, but it's all we have to go on. But we can't cherry pick which pro-day times we accept and which we don't accept. I'm inclined to go with those numbers unless I hear something different. The teams will have their own timings anyway.

Oh I am with you, it's not fair either way, it was more a comment in jest. I do get why many scouting people consider this the loony season.

Interesting...

OSU DT Michael Bennett had a vertical jump of 35" at 6'2 298lbs also ran 4.8 before pulling his hamstring.

Edit: Only 7 DTs have jumped higher than thatat the combine and only 10 have ran faster than 4.80.
