Amendola restructures contract

Never mind how much his restructure will save on the cap. The most important thing is, will that make him less hated on this board?

His neck is not proportion to the rest of him...what's up with the neck?

Great team player, without him we do not win the SB. Making that catch at a clutch time will build even more confidence with him and TFB.

Like it!

I am not sure how I feel about this. I was sure he was gone and was hoping for a speedster. Oh well, I least we can count on the chemistry.

Glad to see this happen.

Confused why so many are wondering how this affects Harvin. Equally confused where all this Harvin hype came from to begin with.

The Harvin speculation has been there since he came out of school, continued when Minnesota made him available, and makes sense given that he is supposed to be in Foxboro today. I'm guessing he will want too much but we will see?

Just rarely see so much buzz around such a meh player.

That would be an interesting combination.

Harvin altogether would be interesting on this team. He would be a massive, massive weapon in this offense.

As for Amendola, good for him. Came through big in the playoffs but he wasn't worth was his cap hit was before the playoffs came around. Good to see he's committed to help the team and I look forward to seeing him work with Brady into the future. I suspect a possible restructuring of Mayo's contract may be on the horizon as well...

Good to see him stay, he is a solid contributor and is good Edelman insurance incase JE misses a game or two.

I don't know why some think this impacts adding more WR's, we could trade for Dez, Demarius, and Calvin and cap space allowing still sign more WR's.

Let's create the biggest competition we can for training camp and the best 5 + Slater win.

I wouldn't hate seeing Edelman, LaFell, Amendola, Harvin, rookie/Dobson/Tyms/Gibson/Player X come September.

The minute you stop trying to upgrade any position is when you've lost.

I get where your coming from because he has been really unreliable and a head case but people are going on talent and upside and minimizing his difficulties as a pro.

Still a tad bit overpaid but I like it! Glad to keep Dola around. Few players run harder than him.

As for Harvin, is the only proof BB wanted him from Bald Childress trying to look smart or is there proof of legit interest?

Some of you really need to grasp the concept of humor.

Good move. This to me means they should not sign a WR that will cost you much money. Amendola as a #3 is fine. Try Dobson one more year and see what Gibson has. Maybe a late draft pick but this is good enough.

Move on and address other needs. OG is still a must. Maybe 3rd down back or upgrade backup TE are 2 other good O moves that have priority over WR right now IMO.

Did you see the OL's reaction to Solder's TD?

I expect that every time a lineman catch a TD pass. Anyway this is just speculation and even a cold player can have his moments of happiness.

This is awesoome news. He is a great kr and if he continues his improved play down the stretch he's at the least a solid option at wr3/target4. Kudos to da taking less to fill those roles.

Mine is equally speculation, but it looked like the polar opposite of what you are suggesting. In fact, I can't find a single reason to believe Solder isn't a team guy.

Blame it on our coaches who have been linked to him from the time he was drafted through hearsay and the like.

I wouldn't give a **** about the dude but if this team's got a hard on for him then there's probably something more than 'meh' about him.

DA. Love the restructure here. I think having him on the team is important. STs. Insurance/complement for JE. Good player that made very important plays this year. Forget the yearly receiving yards. His importance is greater than that.
