Vereen Pats/Giants comment

He's trying to ingratiate himself with his new teammates, fans, and local media. This isn't a pot shot and those of you who think it is seriously need to get laid.

I bet he was being interviewed climbing the stairs or something.

Went from one top org to another and made LOTS more $.
That's a nice move for him. He earned it. We'll miss him.

so for those of you still scratching your heads about the "step up" comment let me break it down.

The patriots are at the top right, the only direction they can go is down, in order for shane to get to that next level he needs to win a title with another team, and in order to do that you gotta start over, like on hard mode, so obviously he choose the giants which are a team pretty close to the basement.

It's like when you beat the legend of Zelda, and then you play it again and all the dungeons are different.

Geez, how could anyone climb all over the guy's back.? Of course the "step up" had to do with the contract, some guaranteed money, the responsibility and expectations and the fact that he will probably have a larger role with the Giants than he had with the Patriots.

I never really doubted his intention but it did bother/confuse me how he worded it and left doubt, i have absolutely no issue believing his explanation though as it's very obvious he meant it when its all cleared up.

The guy was far too classy his time here to TRULY believe he meant anything else.

Great save. Even classier than Givens was in the example I gave above, although in Givens' defense Twitter wasn't an option for him at the time.
