Reports: Vince Wilfork Considering Return To Patriots In Free Agency

Hey, I see what I see.......sometimes I'm right, but sometimes I am wrong.......

tell you what though........without much interior DL on the roster, there really was no point to signing Revis.he's not going to help stop the opponents from gaining 200 yards per game. We were 2nd to last against the pass and we still got to the super bowl using mccourty, chung, ihedigbo, arrington, sergio brown, and sterling moore....whatever our FA losses, next year's secondary will be better than that one

sloppy zone will work if we are stout against the run and the offense grows on what got done in the 2nd half of last year...........

I agree with a few moves to stop the bleeding and other maintenance it is still possible for the pats to make the Super bowl.

Manning just does not scare me anymore. Indy's D still stinks and I like our O vs theirs. Baltimore is always scary and the main concern but they got a little weaker too.

The problem is the NFC with GB and Seattle who will probably be better than us.

If Vince is taking his time to decide move on.
To many good players out there to watch them sign.

Sounds to me like the Vince is not being offered his weight on the open market.

Vince is one of the few I want retiring a Patriot and in his heart I think that's what he wants as well. Come back Vince for 1 or 2 years and then retire.

I wanted Vince back considering we would keep Revis, Browner and McCourty or at least losing only McCourty. Now the situation is completely changed, we need to change the focus of the defense and get quality players in their primes or close to it there. With a secondary like last year you can live with Wilfork playing 70% of what he once was, now I think BB will have to reevaluate a lot of things.

I'd rather have Knighton and Branch at this point. Both are younger and just as athletic.

Great leader in the locker room and I still think he has something left, he had a really good year for us last year and if we can get him back at a good price, I would welcome him back in a heartbeat.

I'll be in the minority here no doubt, and I love Vince...but the Pats weren't very good against the run last year, especially in short yardage. And they got zero push up the middle against the pass. I want to see the DL get faster and more aggressive.

Vince might be a piece of that, but he'll be just that: a piece. I like Mayo's thoughts here: young, big and tough in the middle. If Michael Johnson is back to Cincy and Knighton is too expensive, Fairley and Ellis might offer a logjam of beef in the middle.

One thing where I disagree, though: I do not want a CB early in the draft. If we need a CB, and we do, go get one in a trade or FA, because we need a veteran presence there. We can't just give up on the guys we have chasing some sparklies in a draft that is very weak on DBs.

Would like to have him back. My only fear is that this will keep the front office from making a bigger splash at the DT position. With our CB's taking such a hit we really need to address the Pats inability to get pressure up the middle. And Vince doesnt fit the bill for that.

I want him back but I want to conserve his snaps. He played way too many last year.

Where does all this love come for the NFC? GB has no Defense; and the SeaHawks have little Offense. The Cards are the class of the NFC! Just like they were for the first 10 games of 2014 until Carson went down.

At least we won't have to play them at a home game SuperBowl...

I think that was a product of Easly going on IR and Siliga getting hurt early. With both back and Easly hopefully 100%, if he does resign, his count should go down.

Carson Palmer only played 5 full games, and a bit into a 6th. It surely wasn't "10 games."

They started off hot, like we've seen many teams do over the years, but were exposed down the stretch. I wouldn't even consider them in the top 3-4 teams in the NFC, let alone the class of the conference.

Two words.

Beef Curtain. ;)

As long as he's cheap I want him just for the locker room leadership role.
