Sign the Beast XXXIV: Pats one of three teams interested in Terrance "Pot Roast" Knighton

What is this about Pot Roast and Brady? All I heard was Knighton's SB guarantee, I didn't hear anything about a problem with Brady...

Need to get to QBS
Johnson and Ellis over Knighton.

Ellis is a backup with 1 career sack, Knighton is a run stuffer who can also push the pocket far better than Ellis.

Might actually have a run defense if Easley and Knighton are there.

I have seen interests with alot of players but no signings. Lol. I hope something gets done soon.
Isn't this how it usually happens with the Pats? They are not a noisy team, just a winning team.

BB will figure it out...and without breaking the bank.....

too expensive for belichick.
he will bring branch back for cheap in a week. great " value "

Knighton is an underrated pass rusher. He can push that pocket to let Collins and Hightower make plays.

The only alternative I can see short term is getting stronger in other units to compensate for the anemic secondary. Either building a scary DLine or putting together an offense capable of beat Denver 2013 numbers.

Since I believe BB will never pass the buck to only one side of the ball, it's very likely that he's going this route, which is something I've been advocating for a long time.

Then you can eventually hit a home run in the draft with a 3rd or 4th rounder cornerback to join the secondary. I'm not sold on Butler to be a quality starter after offensive coordinators figure him out.

interrsted don't mean anything unless they actually start making deals.

As for Knighton himself, I see Baltimore giving him more money than the Pats. I think they want a Ngata replacement.

We have money to spend now. Make it rain!

The Denver Post reports the Ravens, Seahawks, and Patriots are interested in free agent DT Terrance Knighton.

They join the Redskins, whom Knighton is visiting on Wednesday. Knighton is looking for big-time money, which he might be able to get from the Redskins, but he surely wouldn't get it from the other three clubs.

Daniel Snyder needs to win the unrestricted free agent sweepstakes.

Never gonna' happen

I might be crazy, but I think Siliga might be as good of an option to replace Wilfork's run-stopping presence as a high draft pick or expensive FA, all things considered. Some veteran depth signings like Branch would be nice, but this is a guy who was insulted by a $6M/year offer. I think for the DT position, the real need is a lighter, penetrating type. It should come down to Easley's progression. The real investments should be at OG, CB, and SS (Chung could very easily get exposed without Revis).

Good. We need all the help we can get at DT right now. He's a much better option than Fairley and I'm sure he can put his negative feelings about Brady to the side if the pay day is good enough.

Not to mention the opportunity to win a ring

I can't believe you guys still do this to yourselves.

How many Patriot off seasons have you been a part of?

Surely too many to think there's a snowballs chance in hell of Belichick paying Pot Roast.

Not. Gonna. Happen
