No worries here. No one is bigger than the team. After all these years, your an idiot if you don't just shut up and drink the koolaid. Wake me up when it's training camp.

The funny thing is, someone could have lifted that image from any offseason in recent memory and it would make just as much sense. It's amazing how people fall into the trap every year of getting so worked up over the first week of free agency when they have to know by now that that's typically not how the Pats do business.

Lolz but really ill give BB a chance to fix things. Did a terrific job last year after a slow start.

How anyone can be upset over anything Patriots right now is just insane. At least a dozen times a day I relieve that game-winning pick and am all smiles. I'll leave the worrying to the organization. I'm not going stop celebrating until at least training camp...

Nobody is saying that the pats will be mediocre. Winning it all again is a different story right now but things could change with moves. Defense still wins championships.

I don't know but hopefully..DT Fairley, DE M.Johnson, LB Shabaard, WR Bowe, TE Cameron lol then go in the draft and hit get corners and guards. It's still early who knows with the pats but they need to get front 7 on D to cover for the hole in the back at DB. It is what it is.

Well Jabal Sheard may still be in town working out a deal. He was supposedly traveling to Foxborough last night, haven't heard anything about him visiting anyone else or that he left.

Ya he might not be a big signing if he does sign, but it's helping the front 7.

My primary question is on what's going on with Mayo. A $10 million cap figure for a guy whose participation was not required for the Pats to win the Super Bowl? Does him being injured keep the Pats from addressing this, because there is no case to be made for him being worth that cap figure?

I have been very angry. I do not fault Revis for taking money. I kind of fault the Patriots for not paying the man, but at this point we do not have all the facts. Its possible Revis simply wanted to go back to the Jets and was going to go there no matter what.

I thought the patriots front office learned their lesson...after 10 years of having a bend but dont break defense that kept our offense off the field due to their inability to make stops (i call it the no brady defense), i thought we learned. but i guess we simply got lucky.

Miguel's take

@patscap
When I hear Revis wanted $16M APY from Pats and sees that he signs with Jets at $14M am convinced that he wanted to return to Jets all along

My guess Revis was fine with not being "the guy" for a year at a reduced salary if it meant contending for a SB. It worked out and he got his ring and now gets to go back to NY to be "the guy"

Sheard would be a HUGE signing for us. I wanted the Pats to draft him and surprised they didnt. He is the perfect fit for the Patriots. I hope he doesnt leave without signing a contract. He was my draft binky!!!

Belichick does nothing but eat, breathe, and sleep football. The team will be good even if we don't win the Offseason Championship. We haven't had a losing season since the turn of the millenium.

No. I agree between us people that have watched and know his skill set would be a very good signing.. But i'm talking about all the chicken littles quacking or people that just are looking to see that the Pats make a signing like Reggie Bush, CJ Spiller, Terrance Knighton or Greg Hardy.

His great skill set? Dude had 2 sacks!! You need difference makers on defense not scraps!!! We can talk about our linebackers but they are not gonna rush the quarterback.
