Jets acquire Ryan Fitzpatrick for late-round conditional pick

If there is one thing we have all learned from watching football over the last 20+ years of free agency football, it is that building a team through high priced veteran free agents coupled with first time new head coaches and retread quarterbacks that once upon a time used to be mediocre works almost every time. Looks like this is the season to take off.

But the other thing we have learned is despite the year-after-year continuation of this abject failure method, the press and fanbases will continue to hail these moves as "victories" all offseason.

Ryan Fitzpatrick has torn up the Patriots secondary in the past...

Isn't this missing the 9/25/2011 game where he was 27/40 369 2/2 and brought the Bills back from 21 points down to beat the Patriots?

uh...Brady threw FOUR INT's in that game, Bres...sorta had a lot to do with the comeback. Welker had 16 catches for 217 yards in that game, a franchise record.

Now the Jets have two quarterbacks everybody in the NFL has hammered into submission at one time or another, a knucklehead free agent receiver who teams can't get rid of qiuick enough, Darelle Revis and three rookies in the secondary, a rookie coach who gets to match wits with Bill Belichick and a loaded Buffalo defense operated by Rex Ryan twice a year, and an owner named Woody Johnson. Why do the Jets still feel like a 4-12 team to me?

Oops mea culpa, missed that when I put togethee the list..

So are the Jets the new Bills, and the Bills the new Jets? Either way, come on man!:D
There is more cross pollination between the Jets and Bills than in West Virginia.

Fitzpatrick
Ivory
Marshall
Decker
Kerley
Amaro
Cumberland

Harrison
Richardson
Wilkerson

Harris
Davis
Coples
Pace

Revis
Milliner
Skrine
Wilson
Pryor
Landry

It won't surprise me if they add Cromartie back into the DB mix.

As of right now, that is a much better team than it was last year.
It shouldn't be difficult to improve on a 4-12 season. A 4 win improvement, which would be huge for the Jets, takes them to 8-8.

Not concerned.
