Man, i haven't seen this much panic in here for a while. Few points...the first order of business is winning the division. We are facing cassel, fitz, and tannehill. Does this seem like a group of qbs that we need shutdown corners against? Bill is going to improve our front seven and force these 2nd rate qbs to run for their lives. An added benefit will be neutralizing the run game in the process which with the exception of the dolphins is the only real offensive weapon the jets and the bills have. I know the jets have decker and marshall but they have fits or geno throwing to them so spare me the need for top notch secondary. Now moving on from that. The raven almost beat us last year and they had the worst secondary in the conference but they had a dominant front seven. You can win a lot of different ways in the nfl. My guess is bb is gonna add harvin add a few key free agents on the front seven and maybe draft oline and na athletic freak like bryon jones. The point is we will have a really good team just like we always do.

The Felger and Mazz line today is that a) it's all about BB having to be the Boss, and b) Krafty Bob didn't want to write a 39 mil escrow check.

Keeping in mind that BB has turned chicken crap into chicken salad before, I have to wonder who is going to be the number one cornerback given what we have left and what is out there in free agency. Wouldn't it have been better to just exercise the $20 million option on Revis and go all in for another superbowl run in which we would be the AFC favorite than go into full reconstruction of the defensive scheme to fit the obviously weakened remnants. Since it would have been for only one year it would not have impacted our core players coming up for new contracts and would have provided ayears development for players of promise like Butler who are now going to be thrown into the fire. The best I can see realistically for this team is a series of shootouts which I hope we win and a life and death struggle for home field position in the playoffs.This not what you hope for or expect with a championship team.
