Sign the Beast XXVI: Would you welcome DE Greg Hardy to the Patriots?

Nope thanks..

So you'd be fine bringing Hernandez back if he gets off on some kind of technicality then? Just trying to find the line here is all.

I'm certainly not going to stop rooting for the Patriots if they sign Hardy, but my preference would be to not have to deal with that at all.

This is how I feel, I'm not the moral police, but if what Hardy did is true (I haven't followed the case), then I'd rather not have him put up on pedestal infront of the entire nation out of respect for the victim, even if I don't know her.

I also don't know any of the victims of Hernandez, but I wouldn't want him getting accolades all over national TV.

Same if the Sandy Hook gunman was the greatest NFL player ever, no.

It's about respect for the victims of what should be considered tragedies, I don't want the ones who committed the crimes to be cheered for, even though it has no effect on my life and I'd still cheer for the team unless they did something REALLY f**ked up, I'd just rather not deal with it is all.

I would stop rooting for the team and stop watching the NFL.

DO.NOT.WANT.

Since I don't know the details of the incident with Hardy, I'll reserve judgment on that.

That said, if we're talking a 1 year deal at an extreme discount given the suspension? Sure why not?
Maybe you should look into the details of the incident then....

Yes I would bring Hernandez back in a heartbeat if it were possible.

Would I let him date my sister, no chance in hell. Would I root for him to catch passes for a team I root for, unquestionably yes.

Wow.

Out of curiosity, how many murders must one commit before disqualifying themselves?

Luckily for civilization he will be locked up in prison. The murderer he is.

absolutely, i want my team to win games.

And how do I do that? His girlfriend made a statement that he did bad things; she doesn't show up in court and the case is dismissed.

I don't know him or his girlfriend. Since there's nothing more than allegations, I'll reserve judgment.

As long as they're eligible to play I don't care what they did.

I don't really indulge in vanity-outrage, so sure, sign the beast if he helps.

My emotional investment is at a bare minimum during the off season, so ****'s given now are even less than they might be in October.

Explain to me why I should care?

If our legal system has determined their debt has been paid, or evidence against them is lacking why would I doubt them?

Again, I'm not arguing against them being scumbags, but the character of our players doesn't devalue, or enhance the quality of the trophy they bring home. There is no extra award for winning with grade A people who would give you the shirt off their back.

Unfortunelty u would but **** him I doubt we take him after what happened with the murderer. But it's been announced that he is expecting a 2 game suspension and he won't get a lot of guaranteed money

His debt hasn't been paid he was found guilty got a 2nd trial but this time he paid her to disappear.

There is no debt for him to pay. If he did pay the woman, he paid the only debt required.

Is he in jail?

We let crooks and criminals run our banks and government. Why can't they play football

Um, he was convicted. Then he appealed and she failed to show up in court, likely because she was very well paid not to.

My question to you is, does this stop at sports teams you root for? Or do you also apply this with the products you buy, stocks that you own, and other aspects of your life?
