Revis: "I'm happy to be home, I never wanted to leave!"

A Revis conspiracy theory:
  • Became a Jet
  • Learned to Hate the Patriots
  • Gets hurt
  • Recovers in Tampa Bay
  • wants to get back to the Jets
  • Gets big bucks from hated PATS to prove he's physically back
and a contract to insure he can get out after one year
  • Gets to Super Bowl but really doesn't want hated PATS to win
  • Lets Seahawks get a potential game winning TD (blaming the ref)
  • Completes his quest to get back to his beloved Jets
Don't believe it? Suggest watching Super Bowl again with eyes on Revis and see if
he was really playing his best.
As a Jet, Revis really hated the PATS and thought BB was a jerk. Did he ever really change his mind?

So jets won the season again in FA. Pats never win....

I wonder: when Revis retires and already has bought everything money can buy several times over, whether he'll look back and wish he'd stayed with the Patriots.

When Revis retires in 5 years or so, he'll be remembered as a career Jet and the best player in Jets franchise history. He'll also retire with one career ring... that he won with the Pats. Suck it, Jets.

It was always designed as a one year thing. Revis always says he wants to get paid. We have him a prove it kind of deal which he did. It put him back at the top of list of CBs and he wants to get paid. He has his ring now that is something he wanted but he want going to take a discount. Revis is not a team player never has been

Disappointed and a little mad that Revis, excuse me, Mevis bolted for the Jets. I don't know why he likes it there. Why are so many players greedy? If you're just in it for the money, you may as well play the game but don't try to win it. If you're in it to win it all, then play as hard as you can. That Super Bowl victory will be worth it (more special than a fat paycheck IMO). He won't admit it but Revis knows that his only chance to win a Super Bowl was to sign with a dominant, winning team. He did just that. He finally got his Super Bowl win. If he only wants one ring, then let him have only one ring. He just wants to buy stuff he thinks he earns, not work to earn it. We all, as Patriots fans, should be proud to have seen 8 Super Bowl appearances (6 appearances throughout 2001-2014) and 4 Super Bowl victories. Revis, you may be back to where you think you belong, but remember this: It doesn't matter what team you're with. That lone Super Bowl ring will always have the New England Patriots logo stare right at you for the rest of your life!

You say this like he hates the patriots and it will kill him to see that logo lol.

Honestly even though he played great for most of the season, we could have lost to Baltimore in the 1st round if it wasn't for Brady, and the Seahawks if it wasn't for Brady and Bulter, so having Revis is no guarantee of success. But i'm Glad his 1 year stay worked out.

Revis: "I'm happy to be home, I never wanted to leave!"

Combined with the photo op with him and all the Jets stuff I'm sick. He was always planning to go back to the Jets again wasn't he? Way to screw us by making us think you actually wanted to be here Revis.

i just threw up in my mouth a little

Great. Hope he helps them do just well enough to keep them out the top 10 in the next few drafts while eating up 1/10th of their payroll :)

I'm officially over the sting of not resigning Revis. Although, I'll probably relapse when we play the Jets, but it got me thinking....when and how will the Pats present him with his SB ring? Will it be prior to the first game? if so, should the pats make a spectacle of it just to rub it in the Jets' noses? I know that Kraft wouldn't do it, but it sure would make me happy.

All this talk really doesn't bother me about Revis wanting to go back to the Jets. He used the Patriots and the Patriots used him. For one year, it was a win-win.

Unfortunately for Revis, he's betting on himself and the Jets against Belichick and the Patriots. Time has proven that's a losing bet.

I never wanted to leave my first wife too. Oh, wait...

Does he know he was born in PA and went to high school and college there...?

Serious question.

I wonder: when Revis retires and already has bought everything money can buy several times over, whether he'll look back and wish he'd stayed with the Patriots.

Probably not, he already said "I'm happy I'm home, I never wanted to [win]!"

Bob Seger's Night Moves says it all :

I Used Her, She Used Me
Neither One Cared
We were Getting Our Share

Or it could be a torrid affair, it didn't last but both parties had a blast. Doesn't matter, we got #4, he's happy, it's all good. This was the expected ending for me although I hoped he'd stay.
