Darrelle Revis Appreciation Thread

I appreciate what he did for us this year and that's it. **** him. Anyone else remember him pulling up on a jet going for a first down (maybe touchdown) in the first meeting? I don't wish injury on any player, but if he was to go down with that fat contact, I'd like it only because of the impact to that sewer of an organization.

God, this thread is depressing. He was nothing but a pro while here and we never have to hear "No Super Bowls since Spygate" because he was a big part of us getting #4. Please stop acting like jilted lovers and just appreciate what he did while here.

And for the love of God stop wishing injury on players. Its disgusting, and he is one of the last people that deserves it. If Wilfork was posting on his Twitter "F the Patriots I hope Belichick has a heart attack" people would LOSE THEIR ****. Its a business. He did what is best for him. Grow the **** up.

Well said

There's really just no way the Patriots could compete

Revis gets ALL this money PLUS he's on the golf course in Hawaii by the first week in January every year???

That's almost too good to be true!

With the Patriots even if they match the money Revis has to play all the way to February every season ;)

Less football and more money is apparently what Revis wants and it's what he's going to get - well done Sir!

lol. Nice work if you can get it.

He can go **** himself, I hope he chokes to death on Jet's cash. If I ever meet him in person I will spit in his face.
You might want to rethink that.

I have no problem with Revis. He spent most of his career in NY before coming here. He came here for a very specific reason - to help us win a SB. We accomplished that goal.

Now the Jets can have him back knowing that both him and their entire team will be irrelevant and not a threat to anybody.

I will still view him in a much more positive light than Welker, who squandered at least a couple of chances to help us win a SB.

Revis, like Welker, is dead to me.

I don't wish any injury upon him, but I wouldn't shed a tear if his team never had a winning season again, and he didn't win another ring. He can enjoy his cash and his new loser team and teammates.

How are Revis and Welker comparable?

Welker dropped two important (and catchable) passes, including one in the 4th quarter of a SB, that could very well have cost us two championships.

Revis helped us win #4.

We knew what we were getting last year. We signed him to a 1 year deal (the option was never really an option) in order to put is over the top. We achieved our goal. That signing was a huge success.

i never liked him. he was just a rental from day one. i hope he enjoys being a part of the jets family because he will never get the red carpet treatment from the patriots. and it will matter when his playing days are over.

Love Revis, will always appreciate this season. Think he's the greatest CB of all time.

Glad he was here, sad he's gone, look forward to the Pats beating him and the Jets.

Now this I can get on board with. I hope his years in NY are horrible. Althought its kind of a wasted wish, because the Jets are always a freaking clown car on fire. Revis wants money. He's got it now. He'll have to pay his penance for that huge check.

I just want people to stop wishing injury on him, or saying they'll spit in his face of they see him. That makes us no better than the Steelers fans selling Bernard Pollard Fan Club shirts. If you're going to wish injury on people, do it on someone who truly deserves it like Terrell "Bleach My Wife So Hard U" Suggs and James "Pregnant Women Deserve To Be Beaten" Harrison. Revis just wants as much money as he can earn. He's one hell of a business man.

Edgy.

I really didn't think it would be one year - and never in my dreams would I think he would go back to the f'in Jets.

but i do appreciate the awesome play and the 25% discount on my next Pro Shop Jersey...:(

I was told that brady never actually took less money. He just restructured his deal in a way that did help the patriots out. I don't have the specifics in front of me but I digress. I do appreciate revis being a big part in helping us get championship number 4. Nothing will ever take that away and we don't get that 4th ring without revis.

Huh?! Brady is taking WAY less money. It was only the restructure 2 months ago that didn't cost him anything.

He traded money for guaranteed money, which is a smart thing to do for an older player. He could certainly have held out for more though. He appreciates that there's more to life than money.

I am a bitter b@stard, I have to admit..... I hope he tears both ACL's in preseason and calls it a career.
Then let him invest all his money with the next Bernie Madoff. Hopefully he will lose his superbowl
ring & I Patriots fan will find it and "KEEP IT".

He came here as a drifter, and left as one. He's a solo act, Great player, but not a "team" player. He's out for his own legacy. Fine. For him. Awesome

Revis has to look out for himself and his family....he's not lucky enough to be married to a woman who makes TWICE what he does and gets all his shoes and clothes for free from Paris designers.

I wouldn't be surprised if Revis tried to sell his SuperBowl ring for even more money.

Hell I bet he's going to hold out of training camp this year for more contract demands.
