lets see how good devin is now without revi$.

this is ******** belichick. cant wait to hear what tb12 says about this.
probably wonders why he restructures his deal since everyone walks

Seriously? McCourty has been a borderline elite player every year he's been in the league. Obviously he benefits hugely from having a top CB to play with. So what?

The people that hold up Brady as if his contract demands aren't the direct reflection of a maximized earnings calculation are comical.

39 million guaranteed over 3 years. That's not a whole lot. The Pats really couldn't match that? I just don't understand.

To me, Butler is a slot guy. and potentially, a very good one.

His two spectacular plays in the SuperBowl were one on one deep balls against Kearse with no help. These were not little dinky crossing patterns, like Revis struggled with at times.

The Pats are businessmen too I don't blame either side sometimes this stuff happens in the salary cap era. I'm more angered by the obvious Jets tampering that has not been addressed

Thoughts on Edelman vs. Revis?

Steve Smith did manage to do some damage on Revis. I wonder if Edelman will have success or we won't look his way during the two games.

If Revis is assigned to Edelman then Edelman will have a poor game. Because Revis is much better than Edelman. In my opinion at least.

Luckily the Pats aren't built around thriving off of one guy on offense (which is why Edelman is our #1 WR)

Edelman...maybe Harvin as well? Although he isn't visiting us as of now

During the season, the playoffs and before free agency:

The reason the Patriots are going to win/won the Super Bowl is because they've got Browner and Revis at the corners. The team FINALLY has a championship defense!

The moment Revis signed with the Jets:

Ehh, screw Revis. He was overrated, and BB doesn't need him.

Gotta love the ostriches.

But but but...the cap is crap...

When you are talking about the best player on your defense, and an all time great, stuff can't just "happen."

I love it now the revis sucks people r lining up can't wait for Kraft to break away from j z and kayne to explain this one

Sure it can. Listen I'm disappointed as much as anyone over this cause it definately weakened the team but the Pats had their number Revis had his and unfortunately the Jets won it happens in free agency the only time it shouldn't happen is when dealing with a franchise QB which luckily we still have a few more good years left.

Yes those damn ostriches that stuck with and had faith in their championship team all the way through 2014. They are so stupid.

And this whole "hes going to be 30" crap needs to end. The best cornerbacks of all time, of which Revis is one, played at All Pro levels until 33/34. Revis will just be 32 going on 33 when the guaranteed years are over.

That's what you've got for a response? That's pathetic.

Yeah, but one knee is much older. ;)

Yeah what is a Deus to do when not every topic descends into lazy Homer v. anti-Homer narratives?

DOES REVIS SUCK OR DOESN'T HE PEOPLE

No actually. What I've got is that I am very disappointed that Revis is gone. I am concerned about the secondary. I think that it was a mistake to let both corners go. And I am hopeful that we can make an effort to soften the blow.

I just happen to think your being an ass.

Revis was great at 12 million. But where do you draw the line? He's getting 16m for each of his first 3 yrs. Brady, the GOAT, doesn't get that. They are all great at a reasonable rate. We all know how the Pats operate. We don't hear too much complaining when they get to the playoffs every year. Oh wait, maybe we do

My pointing out that the ostriches are acting just like the CLs they're belittling must be a problem for you, then. I'm sorry for your sensibilities. Feel better soon.
