Come on, he just got 40 million in guaranteed money.

What in the world do you expect him to say?

Why are people taking this personally.

He did what he felt was best for him.

And jets fans will ALWAYS have to deal with the fact that the guy who might be the best jet player ever has ONLY 1 superbowl ring and it will have THE FLYING ELVIS ON IT!!!!

No hard feelings here. As far as I'm concerned he was a Lifetime Jet but It's TOTAL BS on Woody and Jets Org they wanted him out then they saw how good he was after his injury, signing with us their hated rivals and turnin tables BLATANT Tampering knowin Revis might bite anyway....
Pats vs Jets Thurs Banner Nite Home Opener, how awkward will that be watchin Revis lookin up at SB Banner in his Jet Uniform?

Doesn't surprise me in the least. He's a mercenary through and through. We knew that going in. What does mildly surprise me is how these guys who already have earned enough money to keep them in luxury the rest of their lives don't prefer to be on a winning team. He must be cold blooded if he could experience the elation of winning the Superbowl and trade that in for a few more dollars to play out his career on a bottom dwelling team.

I say thank you to him and move on. He is not getting any younger.

I kind of hope they have the ring ceremony at home game vs the jets. get all the patriots on the field to give them their rings, and have revis receive his alone in the visiting locker room.

So he used us...

Well at least we got a championship out of it.
And we used him too, to win a championship. It was a mutually beneficial relationship.

Now he can go back to making a ton of money while being irrelevant on a non contending team. Meanwhile, we will be in the hunt for another SB.

You do have to applaud his loyalty to the team that drafted him. Even if it is the Jets.

"LOT OF LOYALTY FOR A HIRED GUN".

Revis gave us a good year, he has a ring for his HOF resume. Bowles is considered a good D coach, but they still have no O and Revis will never see another SB. His last game will be playing for a 4-11 team going for that elusive 5th win.

Now onto the tapering by the woodman and our compensation. Lobby for a first round pick settle for the jets #2.

So what's the possibility of keeping Browner now?

Don't hate revis at all but extremely disappointed. Our chance at a repeat just took a huge hit.

It's like hooking up with a nice girl who goes back to her ex that she convinced you she couldn't stand because he buys her back by throwing money at her. Enjoy those sleepless second guessing nights when your staring a 4-12 season in the face Darrelle.

What did you expect him to say? Maybe he isn't a robot and has mixed feelings- Patriots and Jets were both good options for him. Pats would have gotten him all things equal. Pats chose to pass. Don't hate Revis...he gave them more than a fair chance to sign him.
Bah. We might never know what the Pats offer was, but I'm willing to bet the difference wasn't huge. Maybe there's something special to him about New Jersey, but that's hard to fathom. He won't win a title there, guaranteed. Just a few more million dollars to play with on top of the more than $100 million he's already banked. Screw the greedy mercenary.

Darelle Revis the businessman...o_O
