We can say what we want about Chip Kelly, but if we trot Arrington and Logan Ryan out there against the Eagles Bradford might break single game records.

Quite a remark from a $4miilion special teams player who was punked by a third string receiver and had to be removed from the field. He will become our top cornerback if we don't sign Revis.
Butler and dennard will be tops. He's a nickel only.

Free agent CB Darrelle Revis‘ representatives have told teams that they have a three-year, $48 million offer on the table now, including $40 million guaranteed, per Jason La Canfora.

  • La Canfora adds that “his sense” is that the offer is from the Jets.
  • La Canfora also reports that New England offered guaranteed money in “the mid-30s” and that the Chiefs are in the bidding as well.

I would think the offer is from the Chiefs. In my opinion, the Chiefs would have to pay more than either team for him to consider them. I think if the Jets offered him that deal, he would take it, and if the Patriots offered him something near it (say, 37 or 38 guaranteed), he may take it. Just my opinion, speculation, just like everyone else.

Why's everyone all over Arrington now? Do you think Revis would sign right now if Arrington was more aggressive? Do you think he should call Revis and convince him to take the deal?

Arrington is just saying what every player should say and believe, would love to have Revis back but wouldn't judge him if he doesn't.

Judging by Belichick's past comments and the contract given to him, this may not necessarily be true.

We've seen Arrington used on the outside many, many times--as much as we all hate it.

I hope BB has a plan B. I'm not optimistic that this Revis business is going to work out for the Pats. On top of that, Vince and Browner are gone from the defense.

More time passes..means pats are trying to figure it out? Maybe

That is a big offer but not a "blow your doors off" offer. If the Pats come up to 38 and 45 offer I think he stays. That is an offer the Pats should do.

If by punked you mean that Arrington had great coverage on him and that third string receiver just barely caught the ball due to his advantage in size then yes.. sure..

All that Arrington hate.. amazing..

Revis is putting money in front of everything, let him go to the Jets and don't even play a playoff game for the rest of his career, let's use this money making the roster strong in other positions.

This assumes that BB would not do anything else to shore up the CB position between now and the start of the season.

Revis waiting on Pats to up their offer..only thing that makes sense.

And they should up it. The fact we even know what the offer is means he is trying to use it to leverage the Patriots up. The Pats need to bend just a bit here and allow Revis to save face so both sides can "win". If not he is gone.

I think they are going to up it but i just hope it is enough.

So, are there any good corners in the draft this year?

Yes he was doing such a great job that when they switched Browner to cover his man, they took him off the field for thank goodness Butler. I don't think getting yanked in the biggest game of his life is a reward for great coverage.

And we lost the super bowl with sterling Moore and Antwan molden as our CBs

And...I never said that was a good strategy.

Just laughing at the idiots who say we will struggle to make the playoffs. No chance.

In Bill we trust....

Errrrr. Please.

He should have never been on a player that is that much taller than him. The first time he was beat he had great coverage and the Seattle WR barely caught the ball. The second time, after halftime, the Seattle WR pushed him away and it should have been OPI.

But sure lets continue the Anti-Arrington circlejerk..

Still, that's one reason I'm sad about Browner leaving - we don't have big corners.

But yeah, this board WAY underrates Arrington.
