Sign the Beast IX: Percy Harvin released by Jests 3/10 (update: signed by Bills)

Count me as another who doesn't want to see Harbin in Foxboro. If they sign him and are able to cut him later without hurting themselves then color me indifferent.

I want Harvin!

I'm imagining a scenario where Revis goes to the Jets, and the Pats sign Harvin now that the Jets cut him. The Pats go to NY and Harvin roasts the secondary deep for a game winning TD. Wouldn't that be awesome if our doomsday scenario does indeed play out?

I don't want a player on the team that I can't root for. It's one thing to be a hard-nosed "dirty" player or have off-field issues. It's another to be a child-abuser with a motorcade of baggage. Even with his talent... no thanks.

I don't like Harvin, but if he comes with low/no guaranteed money on a cheapish deal, then there is some upside if he's motivated for a year to reestablish his value.

Agreed. I don't like Harvin but as a credentialed member of the IBBWT Kool-Aid Chuggers Club I'm sure I'll come around...

Have I missed a memo somewhere ? When did Percy Harvin abuse children ? You sure you don't confuse things with Peterson ?

@Rand_Getlin: Though WR Percy Harvin is in talks with a number of teams, his first visit will be to the #Bills, per a source.

Seems like he has Stockholm Syndrome when it comes to Rex.

Low risk high reward, like Moss, Dellon, Haynesworth ect. He can be had cheap on a prove incentive contract, acts up, he's gone.

Obviously not. That said, I'm not all that keen on a season where the Jets can sit there gloating over having Revis while we have problem child Harvin.

Harvin to visit Bills



Patriots are suppose to have a visit lined up but the way the Bills are slinging cash I don't think he makes it out of Orchard park without a contract signed.

Wow, I totally did. Still don't want the baggage, but yeah, woops!

I would like to sign Harvin. Harvin's skill set is tailor made to thrive in the Patriots system. He would also give us an elite kick returner. Harvin in our system would be scary good.

You never know...maybe Rexy is on the floor puking over the Revis news and can't bare the thought of wooing Harvin to the Bills...

I would like that lineup a lot.. The backfield/short/middle game would be insane, but the deep passing game would unfortunately still be lacking. I don't know if that's really important to the Pats at this point, though. They took down Seattle dinking and dunking, why not get better dinkers/dunkers?

I wanted him here on a 1 year deal and it would probably come cheap.
