I am SO much more interested in strengthening the OL protection for our Franchise QB and strengthening the DL especially now that Vince is not on the 90.

In fairness to Marshall he has BPD and that many believe is the root cause of his behavioral issues. Todd Bowles has a history with Marshall in Miami. He knows what he is getting and I think Marshall will be fine. The question is does Geno Smith have it in him to take his game to the next level.

Harvin is a different cat. He seems like a mess that they don't want.

If he does have Borderline Personality Disorder, he will probably not be good for any team. It is not about blame, it is about creating a team and people diagnosed with BPD would make that difficult.

One time a very good therapist was describing a person with BPD, and she indicated how hard it was to describe, but when you were with one you knew it, you would be very uncomfortable.

I agree. Football locker rooms are a different world than companies needing to be EEOC compliant and finding job functions that accommodate those individuals who can contribute to a high-performing group.. I have limited experience with people who have emotional disorders and at least for me, it does take extra understanding and sometimes patience to interact with them.

My assumption is that he did well in CHI and they cut him b/c they did not want to pay him. To your point, maybe Fox just didn't want to deal with managing his disorder- which IMO is slightly unfair.

And now that one of the locker room leaders is gone the team doesn't need a cancer like harvin. It would be like swapping harvin for VW, not good.

@ Upstarter 1, That would be FREAKING AWESOME for us!!.. Other teams, coaches/coordinators would go absolutely NUTS trying to figure out a way to stop our offense!.. People should give Harvin a shot. I mean the guy has had some drama/issues in his career thus far, but heck maybe he's had time to sit and think thing's through and realize he's already on his 3rd team in a short career and that if he screws this chance up there might not be another for him after!.. I'm sure he is going to do everything in his power to make sure he doesn't get traded or let go for reasons that were because of him being a locker room cancer, lack of effort, or just in general doing something negatively that hurts the team.. We haven't heard anything from the media indicating he has had any kind of issues in NY. Until we hear any rumors, reports or whatever it maybe then let's give the dude a chance ;)

Heard all the rumors, Tate and Wilson's wife, migraines instead of suspensions. What is eluding people who are some how trying to justify the signing/convince themselves this might work is------A) The organization- coach-gm deemed it beneficial to the team to flat out release him and cut their losses draft pick wise. B) besides the super bowl how productive has he really been the last 4 seasons? How reliable has he been health wise?

All depends on what Harvin wants. Obviously we can't afford to deal out a lot of money for luxuries but I think if he can be had cheap it's a no brainer to give him a shot. People keep saying there's NOWAY you can get him cheap. But, why in the world would anyone deal out big money for him when he's had one good game in two years? Also we almost always go through the draft for OL so I wouldn't worry too much about needing cap space for that. It'd be kind of a waste of our coaching strengths to spend big money on OL when we have Scar who is about as good as anyone who's ever coached at evaluating OL talent. I agree that getting some more help on the d-line would be nice.

Sorry, I don't really want to trade Revis for Harvin. Not that I want Harvin at all.

This is getting old do you think Bill is trading Revis for Harvin. Obviously Jets are overpaying him or he wants to go there.

NFLN saying the Pats are talking to Harvin AND Spiller.

Depends on the dollars really

If the jets cut him he's probably good.

For short money and if he behaves? He'd be a helluva weapon here.

rather have AJ
