New Orleans Saints trade TE Jimmy Graham to Seattle Seahawks

Saints are going to be giving away some gifts to get out of cap hell.

It won't happen, but I wonder if the Rams would give up the 10th pick or the Jets the 6th for Brees.

The more I'm thinking about this, I'm not sure trading away a top center for a non-blocking TE on a run first team is a great move. Though when Wilson is rolling out on every other pass, he'll have a nice big target to bail him out.

You know, for the Rams that might actually not be too bad of a trade, they are a legit qb away from being a strong contender. Drew Brees contract though!

Yeah, I would agree... but they just got Foles. Jury's still out on how legit he is, but I think he's better than Bradford and that frees up a lot of cap room.

Seahawks fans are not happy about it lol.:D

Who was it that said a TE who can't block to a running team? BINGO!

Saints swindled them.

We should have put up a trade thread for the NFL. How shocking is that?

Marcedes Lewis traded to the Saints, per WEEI. No link yet

I think Graham will love not having to play against that Seattle Defense, he's a soft player but will probably put up good numbers.

He has to play zona and Rams twice. That's way worse than the NFC south.

Maybe Seattle is prepping for the end of Marshawn? Pass first?

He'll be 29 this season, maybe 2 yrs left as an elite back. When is his contract up?

I was just going to post this too. I think it's a steal for Seattle personally. Graham is a difference making player. Centers are replacable, and what you find where Seattle will be picking, isn't likely to be as good as Jimmy Graham. Nice deal for the Seahawks.

Hilarious sig photo. I literally loled.

As long as they don't trade Brees to the Jets or Bills

I'm glad he left. Now Bree's,who by some "media accounts" wouldn't budge on his contract. You got paid Drew, you got paid a lot, now deal with it.

Seattle was a top 10 scoring offense last season. We were carried all year by a defense that has played on a different planet. I just don't think its sustainable to be this good on defense.

A center can be replaced, and Unger hardly played last year.

Wilson's legs, Lynch's power running and Graham as a big target can be a really potent offense. I do think we'll be a lot better offensively, and probably marginally worse on defense for next year. Much more balanced team with Graham on the field.

I think Seattle just got fleeced. They just traded for a very overpaid player, a very soft one who his new teammates don't even respect

Everybody here in New Orleans is pissed about this Graham trade! If you guys could hear what some Saints fans were saying on the radio today!
