Patriots allow Brandon Browner to explore value around the NFL

Why are people taking douche breer's tweet as the Pats were looking for him to take a paycut? All it means is he won't take a paycut doesn't mean he wouldn't restructure for more guaranteed money while lowering his hit for this year. Pats could have let him see what his market was to try to work out an extension/restructure.

This is my feeling. I don't think there's any chance at all that he's cut or traded, they just want to restructure his deal and possibly offer an extension and are allowing him to see what he's worth.

Breaking news: Gronkwoski won't take pay cut to stay with Patriots! Pats either pay his contract or release him. :)

According to the Patriots web site, he signed two days before Revis.
Yes, that's when it became official. I was going by when it was reported. Everyone knew Revis was going to NE the day he got released from TB which was 3/12/14. Browner was reported on 3/14/14.

Again why on earth would the pats release Browner if Revis leaves ??? His contract should be eye candy compare to what's going around the league right now, they should be able to get a pick for the trade, if he is release, it would problaby cost any other team around 1.5mil more a year for his services

Yeah but the question was where did the swagger come from...It came from Harrison. Swagger is not natural nor easy to duplicate. You don't have to be a dominant player...to be able to impose it on the team..i.e. Cox. Not easy to find.

It is easier to find than you make it out to be. Not every player has it, but many do.

Yup, Revis was unofficial on day 1 simply because he wasn't in town to sign/take physical. Deal was already done iirc.

Cromartie is looking for 6 million a year, just to prove how reasonable Browner's contract is.

Of Cromartie does have 543 children to feed:p

But aside from Browner....That guy is not on the team right now...agreed?

The guy is on a good and reasonable contract, played a crucial role in our SB run, and they want him to take a pay cut?

I'm not sure I understand the reasoning behind this, but in Bill We Trust.

yeah at first I was kind of offended they asked him to take a pay cut, even thought it's not my money, unfortunately.

IDK, Hightower has some of that in him. Not Browner, but he is a swagger guy.

Giardi reports Browner is now a free agent.

And Browner is a free agent officially. What the hell.

If it means keeping Revis and bringing in another player or 2, I'm fine with it. CB depth isn't something the Patriots are lacking if Revis stays.

Revis better be back if Browner is gone.

According Mike Garafolo.

Doesn't mean the Pats won't re-sign him.

Sense out of New England is that Darrelle Revis is likely to be a Jet, per sources. NE still will make final push. Not over yet.
