So the Colts are going for a 32 year old RB and a 34 year old WR (their ages at the start of the season). Big gamble that two big pieces of their offenses don't hit the age wall.

Possibly. Though Wayne already hit the age wall last year, so the worst Johnson can do is break even on that. And Richardson hit the suck wall, so I'm not sure Gore could be much worse regardless of age.

Rap on NFLN says Trent Cole is going to Indy as well.

Interesting that a team with that kind of cap $$$$ didn't wait to see about Revis.

Big thanks to the Colts for being idiots. They'd rather sign guys to help Luck pad his stats in the regular season vs their **** division, than improve their defense and build a balanced, quality, SuperBowl contending team.

They have a very good #1 CB in Vontae Davis, and Greg Toler was a decent #2. They need DL help far more than they need another CB, even one as good as Revis, at the likely price.

I'm thrilled if the Colts spend on a 32 year old WR and an almost-32 year old RB with nearly 2500 carries (700 more than Corey Dillon had when the Pats acquired him).

Makes it more important to resign revis now.

Not all teams are willing to hold $10M of cap money back to go into a bidding war with the jests over Revis.

The free agency period hasn't technically started and the colts have likely added Cole, Gore and Johnson. And they have lot of cap money left to address other needs. The colts were in the playoffs. These have to be good step for them.

I agree with others that the colts have more work to do, on the OL and on defense.

gore to indy done

adam schefter

gore is old...couldn't run despite having a great o-line.
the colts offensive line is garbage.

rumors that wilfork might go to the colts. a reUnion of former miami players. lol gore, andrew johnson, with big vince.

What the hell are you talking about? Gore averaged 4.3 ypc, and had over 1,000 yards rushing. He did that with his OL having a down year.

Yeah, but Gore is going to make good money. And even if they break even on both players at worse, how does that put them over the hump.

I think they were lucky (no pun intended) to be in the AFCCG this past season. If they didn't face the Bengals and Broncos, they probably don't get past the division round. I think the Texans could mount a strong challenge for the division this year. They might have to significantly improve just to be one and done in the playoff this next season.

Vince to Indy would hurt.

Won't happen. He isn't even rumored to be going there and he doesn't fit their system.

Vince is more likely to go to the Texans if he goes to the AFC South.

Looks like Vereen is headed to the Giants.

Giants signing Vereen

F*ck them
