My guess is they're waiting to see what the open market really is, and go from there?

What is Buffalo's cap situation after the McCoy / Hughes deals? If they have the room to make it happen, that seems like a more likely destination than The NYJ. Rex adores him, and I'm sure the possibility of playing behind that pass rush appeals to him.

My reaction this offseason: Ehhh it would suck to lose Revis, but hey we're still the Champs

Things are a lot less stressful when youre at the top of the mountain. i'll probably come back down to earth around july or so..

how on earth does playing behind that front 7 compare to possibly winning another super bowl here in NE?

Plus its really really really cold there.

If the new reports that Revis is looking for 3/48 with 40 million guaranteed are true you still need to jump on that. How is it worth losing the best corner in the game and the best player on our defense over a difference between 14ish and 16ish million?

Florida has no income tax and plenty of gorgeous women who spend 10 months out of the year wearing bikinis. Plus it's a swinging place for the over 70 crowd (@PatsWickedPissah can confirm) so athletes have an easy path to putting their parents up somewhere nearby.

How the Dolphins, Jags and Bucs suck year in and year out is beyond me. If the dollar #s are even you've got to think someone would choose Florida over freaking Buffalo.

I'm not saying it does, but I'm sure he knows the reality of getting older. He's at the age where his physical ability will start to decline. I'm sure the idea of not having to cover for any extended period of time is appealing.

Also, the Bills are a lot closer to making the playoffs than the Jets. I'm not sure why the Jets are considered ahead of the Bills in terms of non-Patriot alternatives.

I wonder how much of this is posturing on both sides. Revis using the jets to try and get more money from the patriots.

If he really goes to a team like the jets for 1-2 million more to lose 10+ games a year then he really is about the $$. But I cant see that happening

It makes it easier to swallow...but if we keep him..our chances of repeat just get that much better...a lot better

Buffalo has some holes they need to adress, like LB and OLine (QB is beyond saying, obviously). They are down 2 picks this year (minus a 1st, 5th and 7th; plus a 6th). i'll be surprised if they go after Revis, considering how much money he would command. However, if they do sign him, i honestly feel like they will be in the discussion for the best defense against the seahawks
