Bills trade for LeSean McCoy + Matt Cassel

Eagles are loading up on defense. Apparently they feel McCoy is replaceable. And honestly, most RBs are replaceable. Is Seattle going to pay to keep Lynch in free agency?

I still find it hard to take the Bills seriously until they get that gamechanger at QB.

Why do the Patriots need another running back?

If anything they need the LB depth.

Your question is straight out of a Fantasy Football Forum.

First of all Jamal Charles is not just "another" running back.

Besides Blount who's a RB we can rely on or isn't a FA.

I'm not saying u do it but u think about it if u can get a lb in FA or the draft.

Sounds like your response was straight out of your rear end.

what buffalo played in 2013 is not what rex ryan has used with the jets....not even close

end of story

like i said, similar defense. For the second time i will say, don't pretend that you know something that you actually don't. When somebody does know what they are talking about and calls you out on it, it makes you look like a fool.

and one more for when you said that mario williams didn't want to play in a 3-4

I would downplay any running back at $11 million a year in today's pass-happy NFL.

News just coming down: Seattle's reportedly going to pay $11 million to Lynch for this season.

Edit: Even better, for the purposes of this thread:

Lynch gets $12 million this year, in the form $7.5 million signing bonus and a $4.5 million fully-guaranteed base salary.

In 2016, Lynch (if he plays) will get a base salary of $9 million. In 2017 (if he plays), it’s a base salary of $7 million in 2017 along with a $3 million roster bonus due on the fifth day of the 2017 league year.

Source confirms The #Bills and LeSean McCoy have agreed to terms on a new 5-year deal once trade finalized.

@AdamSchefter: LeSean McCoy and Bills have agreed on a $16M first year total with $26.5M total guaranteed and $40M over 5 years, per @RosenhausSports

I think the Bills are converting McCoy to QB. 16M is ridiculous.

I know McCoy is young, but he has had over 300 carries each of the last two years. That is not good for a RB. Many RBs with that type of workload have short careers. Big risk on the Bills' part.

I know DeMarco Murray must be excited right now. If McCoy got what he got, the Cowboys hope for a soft market for Murray may have gone out the window.

Is this correct? Year one - 16 m Year 2,3,4,5,6 - 8 m???

There goes Rex, winning the offseason SB again.

I guess that means they did give up on Revis.

Keep being the Bills....keep on keepin on

In a league that revolves around the qb and has been diminishing the need for a bell cow back. Buffalo signs a journeyman backup and trades a young talented LB for a RB. Nice to see they get it.

Former Denver D-coordinator on Matt Cassel:

Getting down to the crux of things, he told the coaches about players who were better than they knew (like the Denver linebacker Joe Mays) and worse (like Matt Cassel, the Kansas City quarterback, who, Martindale said, “couldn’t hit Black Beauty in a field of white mice”). The Chiefs, he thought, weren’t yet sold on Cassel, just as he doubted the Jets were completely convinced by Mark Sanchez.

Former Denver D-coordinator on Matt Cassel:

Given his take on Joe Mays, I'll ignore his takes on other players.
