Or, will Patriots use Ryan or Harmon as FS?

I would want to sign Tyvon Branch to a 1-3 year, low money contract. If he stays healthy and pans out then he could be great. If not they just utilize Harmon & Ryan and cut bait with Branch after a year.

Moore will fetch 6-7 million a year and I think I would rather go with Harmon long term anyway.

I do like Harmon's game too... I think he can be 80% of what McCourty is. If you can keep Revis/Browner/Arrington/Chung around him and improve the D-line by 20%, that will more than make up for the difference IMO

Agreed, he hasn't done too much wrong back there, and maybe BB thinks that Harmon is simply better value for money than McCourty.

He's going into his 3rd season now, right?

Yeah I believe so.

I don't think there is a safety on the market that I would pay for. Maybe Branch on a prove it deal, but there are too many safeties on the market who are likely going to be overpaid.

Harmon, and it's not even close.

You should be embarrassed for even suggesting Moore.

Rahim Moore? Is the OP being serious? I prefer our defense not giving up last minute 70 yard bombs to lose football games.

All DBs give up TDs. It wasn't 70 yards but Revis v Jordy Nelson for example. Let's not hold that over someones head years later.

from what i understand, branch is like chung. both are good box safety's but are poor coverage safety's.
no thanks.

Yes. Anything beyond 10+ yards and they are very vulnerable.

I'll pass on Radio Rahim.

Rahim Moore is going to end up getting close to what McCourty gets so no

humm.... what's wrong with Butler? why sign that overrated donkey?

If we lose both Mccourty and Revis we will need Butler and Ryan to step up.
Also need to improve the pass rush.
Question is what does that look like?
A rushing d end a pass rushing d tackle.
I don't want to pay Revis 17 million a year it just weakens to many areas.
We need to draft very well this year, uncover gems rotting on other teams rosters.
Belichick has done it time after time.
Vrabel, Ninkovich,Ayers,Traylor, Arrington we need that kind of find.
If we play good team defense we can survive not having a shut down corner.
