Wow.........tough crowd.....I don't get the peyton hate. I am happy he will be back. Hopefully brady and the pats can beat him one more time in the playoffs.
Minus the steroids stuff, Manning is the A-Rod of the NFL.

@AlbertBreer: As @mortreport said, Peyton Manning's revised deal with Broncos has $15M base for '15, and $2M incentives for AFC title and Super Bowl wins.

$15 million for a QB who already blew his wad is nuts ..........

Should have been Brock then the 2015 season could have been the Crooks for Cook campaign ... QB Conner Cook .. or the Hacking for Hackenberg campaign.

Even though Manning failed (miserably) at times last year, there weren't many QBs who have the experience and are able to make pre-snap adjustments plus read a defense like Peyton Manning can. To take it one step further, he had led DEN to 12+ win seasons on all three of his years there. That's pretty significant, as much as we like to make fun of his postseason woes. I think any GM will gladly take a #1 or #2 seed in the postseason, and go from there.

I think it all comes down to how much one believes his injury held him back, and whether or not they can make the necessary adjustments to try and limit his weaknesses (lame duck downfield throws), while taking advantage of the obvious strengths that he still possesses. In my opinion, they got the best of both worlds by still keeping a good to very good franchise QB, while also shaving 4m dollars off of the 2015 salary cap. In your scenario, they are not only throwing in the towel for 2015, but they are also hoping/wishing on a future QB from college. I think Elway is smart enough to realize that you still play Manning while he's able to play. Just my opinion.

In his last 6 games he was Hugh Millen reincarnated. He should thank his lucky stars.

And yet they still won 4/6 games, and even had a chance to win the CIN game with about 1:30 left in the game, until the pick six sealed the deal.

Manning also had a 64% completion percentage or better (70 percent twice) in 3/6 games as well, so even his worst performances are still likely to put DEN in a better place then they'd see with anyone else playing QB.

No doubt that Manning looking different in the second half of the season last year. The big question is how much the injury comes into the equation. I suppose we won't know until this next season though.

Personally, I think he was hurt. His production drop was crazy quick for it to be just age.

At 39, the question will be how can his body recover and how will he produce when - not if he is hurt again.

If he puts pictures of Brady with 4 rings all around his workout area he may have a decent season.

Here is what I think is funny. When manning broke the touchdowns in a season record a couple seasons ago he made a joke that it didn't really matter because Brady would probably break it the next year. Manning was close. Brady didn't break the new td record but he did go up against the same team that manning lost to in the super bowl and we all know how that turned out. Love it.

Otherwise known as NLTBA incentives meaning the Broncos don't have to count them against the cap

Manning wants the reg season wins record. He'll be the first to record double digit 1 and dones.

He should give the 15 million he's making this season to the poor team attendant whose face he sat on with his unit and nutsack...he's a scumbag and I could care less about his "Look at me!!!" career.

I would have liked to see Peyton take a $1M base for '15 with $16M in incentives for AFC title and Super Bowl wins.

When this news was breaking earlier on Sportscenter they were saying "Denver's cap space gets better, Manning's bank account gets worse." Going on about how he's helping the team and it's so great.

HELLO? Look at the QB who just won the SB a month ago who is superior to Fivehead and a bit younger, who is making less willingly... And coincidentally he has restructured multiple times to help the team, yet I recall during his most recent restructure that the media pretty much said "well is he REALLY helping the team? if you look really close at the fine print and twist it a certain way to fit our agenda..."

God, the double standard is sickening... I have never and will never understand why Peyton Manning is the patron saint of the NFL while Tom Brady gets told to look into cameras and admit to false allegations...

What no Manning trimmed his meat posts???
