Bills trade for LeSean McCoy + Matt Cassel

Eagles fleeced the Bills IMO. Alonso's ceiling is pretty high.

Feel like it was inevitable Kelly was going to get rid of McCoy at some point, especially because he played so poorly at times last year. McCoy really struggled behind an injured offensive line last year, don't know if Buffalo is going to be any better for him. This is also a pretty big cap hit for the Bills I think.

I for one am not laughing about the Bills. They have no QB, but Rex has given us fits with no QB before. Even in wins, NE was squeaking by the Ryan-led NYJ and I think there are plenty of playmakers (especially on D) in Buffalo.

Division wins are precious, but often quite difficult. I think NE is clearly the class of the AFCE, but the Bills will be a very tough out.

Well you know, they've been watching all Patriots games since 2000 in order. Well now they have come tot he '08 season and the dolphins and as soon as they saw the game they yelled out "That's our offense now". Please don't show them the following years, just let them have this brief moment of happyness where they think they have the solution to winning the division.

Rex really got rid of one of the LBs with the highest potential in the league for a RB who may well already be on the downside of his career? Wow.

IMO the Eagles won this trade. McCoy has maybe 2 years left and he has already had his best year.

Kiki Alonso is going to be a top 5 LB in the NFL for the next 10 years.

Look at what Rex already has in place...

Quality defense
Multiple running backs
Cap space
Functional TE (Chandler)
Legit deep threat for P.A. passing game (Watkins)
Legit second receiver (Woods)

If he gets a QB, that Buffalo team's going to be a real pain in the ass.

The bills will have a top 3 Defense regardless.

In a "down year" with a suspect OL, that RB rushed for over 1300 yards. Not to mention his catches. Kiko may indeed flourish. He was injured. Injured football players sometimes regain greatness, sometimes don't. Time will tell.

I agree about the eagles winning this trade. I can see the eagles now drafting a kid like gurley if he is knee is fine. Robbery by the iggles lol

Yes, but CJ Spiller is bad. Shady McCoy is (probably) still very good, for a short time at least, and the always underrated Fred Jackson keeps getting older.

However, Alonso is a young, gamechanging player on his rookie contract at a position that is (relative to running back) difficult to find difference makers at. Meanwhile, McCoy has a lot of wear on him, though he'll only be 27 at season's star.

Eagles got a young LB who never played in 2014 but had a great rookie season but he was free to run around cause he had that great DL in front of him something the Eagles don't have, but the bills get a Elite RB who will just turn 27 when the season starts. Chip Kelly's ego will get him fired he thinks his offense can be run with anyone

I think the Eagles really just want the cap space. They also got rid of Cary Williams and Trent Cole today; they might be nearly $50mil under from what I've seen; Among other possibilities, I think they're going to play seriously for some combination of Maxwell, Revis, and McCourty.
