NFL.com asks if Brady or Luck is the second best QB in football after Rodgers

No doubt Rodgers is among the greatest to ever play the position from a skills perspective. When you compare things like TD:INT ratio, his stats put him close to Wayne Gretzky level dominance. However, QBing is about more than just talent and production; it's about leadership, resilience, and winning under tough conditions. I'm not saying Rodgers is a choker or anything like Forehead, but I don't think he's the undisputed best quarterback in the NFL on his talent alone.

Thus far in his career, Luck is closer to Favre than Brady. Total gunslinger. And he struggles badly (beyond the level of badness that should be expected) against good defenses.

I've always said if there is no Tom Brady then only 1 guy qualifies to be the leader of my offense, Rodgers. That being said i don't think he is better than Brady overall but just in certain aspects but that's mainly down to being younger. If Brady had Jordy! oh my.........

One thing is for sure, if payton won the Sb the question would be who is the best .....him or Rodgers. Everyone so eager to say Rodgers was the best last year, he was often quite bad away from GB . Oh yea if they didn't lose to the bills at buffalo they would have had the 1st seed in NFC.

THIS!!!

Peyton's Nth playoff one & done stifled the narrative for about 6 weeks but by now they've erased from the collective memory the extreme tooling Luck got for the 4th time by the Patriots and are ready to enshrine him in the HOF.

Brady

Rodgers

Don't care.

Are you kidding?

In the second half, the Packers had four 3-and-outs and two field goals. Four 3-and-outs!!! They just needed a couple of completions to extend drives and they would have won easily.

Inferior talent? I guess I am referring to the fact that, for Brady's receivers and offensive weapons, his statistics are more impressive than Rodgers or Luck. I love Edelman, LaFell, obviously Gronkowski is a superstar, but this isn't an offense that is going to dominate defenses. It requires precision and intelligence.

Those three outs. Are mostly because the coaches in GB are way too conservative. It wasn't because Rodgers was missing throws.

The Pats offense is a quick hitting offense based on reads and timing. They have the perfect receivers for that system.

Andrew Luck is the most overrated quarterback i've ever seen. What is the hype with this guy. He's a friggin turnover machine.

I remember against Denver he threw two INTs and for days all i heard was it's no big deal because they were basically punts. What kind of stupid logic is that? What if those INTs resulted in pick sixes? Or why not try to get 10 yards for a first down instead of launching it 40 yards to the opposing safety?

My point being he's overrated but is loved by the media that's we're conditioned to believe he's amazing. I'd rather have Wilson over Luck.

I don't think anyone would argue that they were good decisions. I think that analysis was more "well, as bad as the decision was, it didn't really end up hurting them at least".

Rodgers has never or will EVER be better then Brady. Rodgers is good, but he is overrated also
Rodgers is a great Quarterback with some special skills but the media gushes over him like he's Tom Brady.

3x super bowl mvp ends any debate.

Rodgers has more talent. No denying that. Luck too.

But Brady just wins. QB is not about talent. QB is about putting your team in the best position to win. That's why we win.

physical talent probably takes up about 10%. pretty much most starters in this league are physically more gifted than 37 year old brady. go watch some of the derek carr throws, it makes you go 'youth is a beautiful thing'.

luck can't touch brady's brain. rodgers can't touch brady's heart.

brady is still my #1 qb.

rodgers is an overrated front runner. he's great when he has the lead but if he has to lead a team from behind to win, he's incapable. i don't think he has 10 game winning drives in his career.
besides one run in the playoffs, he's been a consistent disappointment. since his only SB win, rodgers has two playoff wins...technically 1. i dont count the other win against the vikings led by joe webb at QB

Why does this bother anyone anymore.. Brady has 4 .. Who cares if he's #1 or #18

luck is overrated, but so is wilson.
switch luck with wilson and seattle are still a SB team. the colts with wilson would win 5-6 games..

It's more the fact that wide factions of the media and supporters can be dismissive of what Brady is achieving mainly because of Belichick. How many times do you hear "Oh but he's got Bill Belichick"?

To me, they are two peas in a pod. Both make each other better and Brady deserves to be considered the best QB in the game.

Let me help you out.. Do not watch espn ever :)

The medias Andrew Luck *********** is quite funny., he's the new Peyton Manning for them. Luck definitely is a great player and makes the Colts into a decent team, albeit in a terrible division, but come on 20 INT's and 13 fumbles last year. If he was anyone else everyone would say that he was careless with the ball but luck gets to call his picks "interception punts"

What inferior talent are you referring to? Also, Rodgers had a great game vs Seattle considering his injury.

Ever since 2012, the Seahawks have held Rodgers under 200 yard passing.Even with a healthy leg (see the season opener against the seahawks) the legion of boom would still have made him look pretty bad.
