RUMOR: Revis "to hit the market?"

Yep. Good enough to win the SB. Plenty of talent. He drafted Harmon high for a reason.

You're definitely trolling. You have been sh.thing all over Belichick for his drafts and saying over and over Revis won't sign and now you are saying they just loaded with talent and won't need him.

Both Revis and the Patriots are tough negotiators. What if Revis decides to hit the market and pays a visit to Baltimore to see what they might offer. I can imagine that alone would pressure the Patriots to increase their offer.

They don't work that way. They have their to number and let the player walk if they want more. Belichick won't make deals to trump the other teams.

I never sh..it all over Belichick. We've been through this before. You couldn't find one post of mine saying such. You're attributing to me for some reason, every negative post said by anyone. I get all the credit/blame for it for some reason. I've probably made a post or two on a specific draft pick but not on his picks in general. Nor did I say he'd "ruined the team", another ludicrous demented assertion of yours.

AS great as Revis is I dont buy the we cant win it all without him. That sounds like things fans of other teams say. Would be great to keep him though.
We can and will win if Revis decides not to sign with us. BB isn't going to put the team in cap hell for one player. Revis needs to decide if winning is more important than getting a max contract. The decision was easy for Brady.

I truly think he is going to leave. I view Revis much like I do Peyton when it comes to contracts. They always want to be the highest paid player at their position by a fair margin(personally would do the same). Sherman money isn't high enough for a guy who is possibly still in his prime and coming off a super bowl victory.

It would suck if he leaves, but as long as Gronk and our offense in general stays healthy our chances to repeat remains about the same imho. Our offense really showed up this post season not really our defense. Besides the Colts, we didn't really keep the Ravens or Seahawks off of the scoreboard. BB will somehow make our defense good enough regardless if we lose McCourty and Revis. See 2011 year with Sterling Moore playing the role of Malcolm Butler to a far lesser degree.

I think we would be in tough shape if we lost both Revis and McCourty. I expect one of them to be on this year's team.

In Bill I trust ... not losing sleep over it .............

Why do people not include Arrington when talking about our CBs? I have seen it twice. He is an excellent slot corner and a great ST player. Him, BB, AD, MB isnt a terrible starting four (Assuming AD is healthy and MB continues playing great) if you have DMac and money to pump into the D line...assuming they dont pay Revis.

Revis lands in Buffalo

Revis isn't even gone yet and already people are starting to diminish his importance to the defense. Waiting for the Wilfork thread...
You watch. Either him or McCourty (or worse, both) are going to suddenly be tantamount to Sterling Moore and Sergio Brown.

I can't see the Pats letting both McCourty and Revis hit free agency.

Geez don't jump the gun, buddy. But yes if McCourty is headed to free agency it would be one big ass mistake to let Revis hit FA. That is going from a top secondary to a very underwhelming secondary.

I hope guys like Law and McGinest are urging Revis and McCourty to stay.

Even Devin's brother Jason is probably urging him to stay and not go to some dysfunctional, crap franchise.

Don't worry, Triumph is another one that is always wrong.

Can't imagine they intend for this, but maybe they're going to stick to their guns/are leery about the cap and it's going to take them to a place they don't want to be either, but really have (from BB's perspective) no choice.

IF IF IF that were to happen, it'd be one of the biggest mistakes made by the Pats of this era.

I want Revis back in NE more than anyone on this board.

Sad reality is that he is too expensive.

If the Patriots haven't even spoken to McCourty recently, I don't think it's really up to McCourty.

I think the Pats eat the $20 million to keep Revis and hope to get a deal done.

Not totally comfortable with that. On the other hand, even more uncomfortable if they lost the two of them. Not eager to revive the 2011-2012 defense (sans the lone bright spot at centerfield).
