CBSSports.com fail: "2017 NFL Power Rankings"

These so-called experts cannot even successfully predict every team that will make the playoffs midway through any given season. How can you take a power ranking projected two and a half years from now seriously?

This reads more like "the Onion" sports news

Like him or hate him, as long as BB is running this team the Patriots will annually remain in the top 5

I really dont understand this fascination with Luck and the Colts. I actually like Luck as a player and person but he's honestly becoming the most overrated player in the NFL.

It's not unreasonable to suggest that Tom's physical abilities will decline to an extent three seasons from now. But 18th?! All you can do is laugh at much of the media these days.

Somebody with too much time on his hands writing something that he knows nobody will take seriously and that everybody will forget, but on which he might just get lucky enough on a few big teams to be able to pull it out in 2017 and say, "See how smart I was?"

Sort of like buying 32 Futures Contracts for a basket of Commodities 30 months in the future: better odds than winning the Lottery, but not all that much better.

I just find it amusing/hilarious/pathetic that even after the "Great Jimmy Garoppolo Uprising of 2014" we have something premised on the exact opposite idea (that the Patriots will keep a past-his-prime Brady out of sheer sentimentality).

This is repulsively pathetic. The media wants to see the Patriots fail so bad that they write up fantasized power rankings that involve the Patriots sucking. Seriously? Wow.

The only Power Ranking I take seriously is the cumulative outcome of 256 NFL games.

LOL When Andrew Luck can actually WIN a solitary game against Tom Brady let alone a major playoff one then we can actually start to consider he and the Colts a 'threat'

Tom, Gronk, Edelman, Collins ... Lots of picks. If we dont resign Jones, Hightower and others FA we will have money right? So we will be fine. Even in the worst case scenario: no Revis, Dmac, Solder, Jones. Patriots will be a top 5 team.

The Patriots are not the youngest team or one of the youngest to win the SB ? If Tom decline patience, it can happen to anyone . Until proven otherwise and stop playing guessing games, the Patriots have the brightest future of all franchises.

I forget that some of you are so young that the place that has Pete Prisco is not setting of alarm bells.
CBSsports was CBSsportsline. There main guy (writer/editor/ whatever) is/was Pete Prisco. For years was the "Peyton Manning is so much better than Tom Brady..." guy that was a blatant Patriots hater. I mean in 2003. He drove me from CBSsportsline to ESPN boards before I moved in here. Yes, E!SPN seemed less biased than CBSsportsline which has changed their name but still has Prisco as "the" guy.
Yeah, the more you know.

It was just a typo. The headline was supposed to read 2027 NFL Power Rankings.

I'll be he was singing Little Orphan Annie while writing this.
