Some of it's actually decent, but this . . . not so much:

Patriots: Tom Brady has finally faded. He'll be 40 before he plays another snap and the stubborn Patriots won't force him to step aside. It's not as though they have better options, but that might soon change with New England holding its highest draft pick since taking Jerod Mayo 10th overall in 2008. The Pats are still young in most spots, but the Bills and Dolphins have caught up to them in the AFC East. Darrelle Revis, Vince Wilfork and Nate Solder are all gone from that 2014 Super Bowl team, they had to pick between Chandler Jones and Dont'a Hightower last offseason, and now they'll have to fight to keep Sebastian Vollmer, Rob Ninkovich and Jamie Collins. This might be the beginning of a transition period for Bill Belichick and Co.

They'll just keep predicting it until he either fades or retires so either ignore it or prepare for media-induced angina.

lol 18th. lol

I read this as intended comedy. The Bills and Jags dominate. The Pats suck. Brady ages, while Romo and Big Ben hold their form (fat chance of that).

By 2017, BB will have located the fountain of youth or cloned Brady in his 22 year old form while transferring all of Brady's current memories/football intelligence to that clone. The Pats will be accused of violating NFL policy by starting Brady's clone, despite the absence of rules prohibiting the action. The Pats win 4 straight Super Bowls, and half of the NFL teams break off in the new AFL so one actually can hope to be called champion of something. I believe that is a more plausible scenario than the one offered here.

That was not an Onion title?

Its projecting two years out, of course its stupid. Nobody ever has any idea what will happen in the future and definitely not in sports. Last year if you asked who the best three WR's in football would be in 2017 everyone would have included Josh Gordon

Aside from the conceit of the article, though, there's the fundamental problem that it posits something that is demonstrably untrue: that the Patriots would be too stubborn to move on from a Brady who's clearly in decline.

I love how there are teams with no current hope at QB ranked higher than the pats on this list, because Brady's 'too old.'

Romo at 37: #4
Brady at 40: #18

The hate is
getting creative.

So, let's get this straight: the premise is that Brady is still playing in 2017.

The Broncos minus Manning are better than the Belichick-Brady led Patriots.
The Bucs, Rams, Bills, Jaguars, and Raiders are all better than the Belichick-Brady led Patriots.

Oh now I get it. Sometime between now and the year 2017, scientists discovered a wormhole through a black hole in the universe that caused all of order to become chaos.

Actually he did that in 2004. The HGH would be detected too easily, so they're letting him make it to 20 the old-fashioned way. This is why Brady gets to the facility so early and leaves so late.

The plan is for him to hang on until clone-brady is ready. He'll be playing until he's 60, in popular memory...

Lollll @ power rankings. At least in 2017 there potential uncertainty on TBs health and ability, so these predictions aren't quite as terrible as say..

I think I literally went from reading this to betting $500 on pats to beat the almighty bengals by 22 or more pts (something like 12 to 1 odds). Good job w power rankings there!

Who is Brad Gagnon and why should I care what he thinks?

At least the Ravens and Jets predictions/revelations were interesting too!

Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds.. another tangerine dream.

Picture yourself in a boat on a river
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly
A girl with kaleidoscope eyes

Oh, come on.. These mediots want so bad to see the Patriots fall. It is pathetic.

Jets still projecting to be a dumpster fire are the only thing that article hit on.
