AFCE news .... Bills rumored to be pursuing trade for Sam Bradford

bradford was the last big money rookie draft player right?

didnt he get something like 50-60 million on his rookie deal, and hes played barely 3 full seasons.

Signed a six-year, $78 million contract. The deal contains $50 million guaranteed

through 5 years he's played in 49 games, 1 more then 3 full seasons, with zero playoff games

Mallet?

I don't think Bradford is going to have to compete for the starting job. Shaun Hill is a free agent and Austin Davis is a trainwreck. I think the Rams are okay with giving him one more year because he's substantially better than any alternative and they aren't picking high enough to get a plug-and-play rookie QB, but obviously they'd prefer not to have him count for $13m against the cap, especially since he's made of glass.
Jeff Fisher said that Bradford will have to compete with someone "that's not in the building right now". That being said unless they grab one of the top three QB's in the draft there isnt anyone in FA who would seem likely to beat him out.
