AFCE news .... Bills rumored to be pursuing trade for Sam Bradford

Bradford was injured and out for the season with a knee injury that occured when he was hit in the shoulder area and not knocked to the ground.
He makes Ras I Dowling look like Lou Gehrig.

If Bradford could just repeat his 2013 level of play and stay healthy, Buffalo would be the clear #2 team in the AFCE preseason rankings, a significant playoff candidate, and a legitimate threat in its games against the Patriots.
I'm pretty sure if he could then the rams wouldn't be looking to trade him.

Sam BUSTFord

Their receivers that they wasted picks on with no qb should be ready for their huge, long term contracts by the time Buffalo has wasted the rest of their picks.

he could potentially be the 3rd best QB in the AFCE....behind Brady and Garoppolo

Over/under 3 games before Bradford's knee gives out?

A decent option, certainly better upside than Manuel. I really believe that Rex needs a veteran QB though, someone who already knows what he's doing and needs minimal attention. A young QB isn't going to develop and improve with a head coach who can't even be bothered to know what the offense is doing.

bradford is considered a veteran. yeah, time flies.

EJ has the same problem he had at FSU, could only read one side of the field and his accuracy sucks. He has this tendency to only want to throw it farther than 10 yards when the WR is WIDE open.

don't post **** like this
I first read it as

Sam Bradford is bad at playing quarterback, so I fully support Buffalo giving up assets and money to acquire him

He'd still be the best qb they've had since Bledsoe. At this point he'd only need to be better than ej manuel

So if they really are targeting Bradford who do they plan to have as their starting QB in 2015?

I understand that the IR role is important to fill, that still leaves a starting vacancy.

I meant it more as someone who doesn't need a lot of further instruction. I don't view Sam Bradford as that guy yet.

EJ is awful. This is an upgrade for them IMO. It doesnt take them to SB quality but maybe if hes healthy they can win a playoff spot.

He'll be wearing a cast before training camp is out. He is just that guy. You know, the kid when you came back to school after summer break and he always seemed to have messed himself up doing something stupid.

Buffalo fans, keep this guy away from your tree houses and big wheels.

If the Rams are looking to trade him (this rumor seems to be false) it's because his cap hit is $13m this season and he has stated that he will not take a pay cut.

yes, but they would okay paying him that if he could be decent and as of right now they do not view him as their longterm future, he's going to have to compete for the starting job

I don't think Bradford is going to have to compete for the starting job. Shaun Hill is a free agent and Austin Davis is a trainwreck. I think the Rams are okay with giving him one more year because he's substantially better than any alternative and they aren't picking high enough to get a plug-and-play rookie QB, but obviously they'd prefer not to have him count for $13m against the cap, especially since he's made of glass.
