19-0

The only record that matters to me is 3-0 or 4-0 in the postseason. Couldn't care less if we made it there with a 7-9 record.

That just hit you this morning? Some of us have been talking about it for 3 weeks and 2 days. :D

I'm a bit sleep-deprived and slow I admit :D

I know it is the slow point of the offseason and I am not saying this to diss the original poster, but it is threads like these that makes everyone hate us. 19-0 is a pipe dream until someone actually does it. Talking about it like it a realistic possibility just makes us look entitled.

I hate this undefeated talk bull$hit. It's just smacks of a 12 year old kid with no real understanding of football.

I don't think it's fair to say it's a pipe dream or that it isn't realistic, nor do I think it smacks of a 12 year old kid.

We've already gone 18-1. And we've won 21 games in a row. So tell me again why it isn't possible.

I'm not suggesting it's likely, or that it would be easy. But it absolutely positively is possible. We've been a play or two away from it so it is absolutely possible.

19-0 is awfully high expectations to set.

Obviosuly the great 2007 couldn't complete the task, but keep in mind that even that team was lucky to get out of Baltimore with a win (and Baltimore was terrible that year). I'm not even talking about Rex's time out on what would have been failed fourth down conversion on the last drive, I'm talking about a gift holding penalty that was incurred on Ben Watson on another fourth down on the drive.

Also, please don't jinx us, people felt the 2008 season was also prime for an undefeated season (extremely easy schedule that year too). That year we played the AFC West and NFC West (with both being terrible at the time). Travel sucked, but not the opponents.

Yeah, that's fair. But every team needs luck now and then. The undefeated Dolphins squeaked by the Vikings by 2 points after trailing by 8 going into the 4th quarter, and beat the lowly 4-9-1 Bills by just 1 point, partly because there was no 2-point conversion rule back then and the Bills were forced to kick an extra point on their last TD. All 3 play-off games were one-score games.

They were a great team that overcame the loss of their starting QB mid-season, deserve the credit for what they did. But every team needs luck, undefeated or not. The Ravens needed a Hail Mary-type pass late in the 4th to barely get by Denver. The Giants got a lucky bounce off the knee from Kyle Williams against the 49ers.

There's no team that will dominate 19 weeks in a row. But that doesn't mean we can't win 19 games in a row.

Here's my feeling. If Belichick alone played against all those teams...with a blind fold...and shackles...and a broken arm...he might lose one game.........might.
