19-0

Imagine the hype surrounding that Giants game if we role in 10-0 or something later.

Our team as of SB49 given next year's schedule would have a chance.

I will go insane and probably jump off a building if we're 10-0 and then lose to the Giants

The Giants have a QB who threw for 30 touchdowns last year with weapons like Ruben randle, Odell beckham and victor Cruz, all of whom are capable of getting a 1000 yards. They also have a solid running game and a pretty good secondary.
Does Ruben Randle really count? I mean he had 938 yards but he was targeted 127 times and only had 71 receptions and that "Solid" running game where Andre Williams averaged 3.3 Yards per carry. The Giants have some good pieces but they are not a good team right now, despite Beckham and Cruz.

Hey that's awesome.

So why did they go 6-10 last year with that great personnel?

I think we'll definitely suffer a couple of defeats...........in the preseason.

I'd kinda like to wait and see what the team looks like after FA and the draft before talking this ****.

but that's just me.

I believe.

19-0 is awfully high expectations to set.

Obviosuly the great 2007 couldn't complete the task, but keep in mind that even that team was lucky to get out of Baltimore with a win (and Baltimore was terrible that year). I'm not even talking about Rex's time out on what would have been failed fourth down conversion on the last drive, I'm talking about a gift holding penalty that was incurred on Ben Watson on another fourth down on the drive.

Also, please don't jinx us, people felt the 2008 season was also prime for an undefeated season (extremely easy schedule that year too). That year we played the AFC West and NFC West (with both being terrible at the time). Travel sucked, but not the opponents.

2008 is irrelevant to this discussion

Rather lose a couple of games and be healthy for the.playoffs than go 16-0 and be burnt out

I've been hoping for 19-0 every season since 2007. I'll keep wishing for it.

As for the Giants, you never know with them and their flukiness. If there was another QB that would make a flukey throw that the receiver some how catches after Butler broke it up initially it's freaking Eli Manning! I don't know how it's possible but it just happens! As for their receivers, Cruz suffered a patellar tendon rupture which is worse than just a patellar tendon tear or an acl tear I read. So how well he plays remains to be seen.

I'm just saying 'sure, it's fun to dream' but in reality it's silly to talk about an undefeated season at this point.

And I'd be curious to see if the appetite is still there for an undefeated season? I think for most fans another title would be good enough.

Let me phrase it another way, let's say the Pats find themselves in the same position the Colts were in 2009....in which they were something like 12-0 and 13-0 and winning a game when they pull out the starting quarterback (and others).

If the Pats did this would you be disappointed?

Personally I like the Pats chances of running the table next season. If I could find a sports book offering 100:1 odds for it happening I'd put $100 on it

Remember when I first got the internet and was in the aol football chat room many years ago. There was this Chiefs fan that proclaimed 19-0 every year. He was so arrogant and annoying and also the first ever troll I encountered the internet.

You meant "the internets" as in plural, didn't you? ;)

You play to WIN the game.

No way Belichick ****s his pants like the Colts did that year.

I'd like to see them go 19-0 next season just to stick it to that old prick Shula. I'd love that to be his last Earthy memory.

It'll never happen and the patriots in 2015 will never go 19-0. They could repeat but I doubt we'll ever see 19-0 unless games are fixed
