Are you partially rooting for Rex now?

Here is how much Wrecks would appreciate us rooting for him in Buffalo:

I would never root for Rex and Bills, but I will say this for him, he was not one to accuse Belichick of cheating or imply that Bill and the Patriots did anything underhanded - unlike a number of his contemporaries in the NFL.

I don't remember many of Bill's contemporaries crying about him. Who are we talking about?

Only in the offseason. He can win that every year in my book. Come season time, I hope he falls flat on his (now skinny) ***.

Screw Rex and the Bills. I hate every team and every head coach except for ours. Makes my football life nice and simple.

Before the Pats came to be I was a Browns fan. I still wish them the best, but I don't care all that much that they lose. My team has been the Pats since 1960.

I used to have a soft spot for the Jets, mainly because they helped shut up the NFLers in 1969. But then, a couple of decades later, Parcells pulled his crap and they went all downhill since.

I still have the same soft spot though for the KC Chiefs. They finished off what was left of the NFLers that still looked down their noses at us in 1970.

I also used to root for the Bills, and was as crushed as some of their fans when they went down four straight times in the SB. Those were hard times. Now that The Mouth That Roared has been named the HC, I cannot root for them at all.

Miami was ok, but the way Shula cheated simply bothered me and I couldn't cheer for them, even for their undefeated season. If I knew what a **** Shula would become I would have made a bigger stink about him at the time.

I could also never root for Indianapolis, not after they bought off the history of a great Baltimore Colts team. Or the Steelers or Raiders, those cheatin' son's a b*****s.

The Broncos can eat it and die too.

And I always root against the NFC teams, just for old time's sake.

Other than that, I root for everyone.

I imagine that would be Tony Dungy, John Harbaugh, Chuck Pagano or whomever reported the ball issue to the NFL, etc., etc. etc...

You geezer! I too was a Browns fan when the Jints were televised in our market pre-Patriots.
Rooted for Namath's Jets to beat the Colts. Loved that game. And loved KC for winning the next year.
Hated to see the Giants beat the Bills in the SB.
AFL all the way, baby!

I can hopefully become indifferent when he becomes a DC in the NFC.

There's something special about the schadenfreude involved with former Jets employees. Watching Sanchez suck with the Eagles or seeing Mangini crawl back into his mom's basement after his inept pursuit at a coaching career fizzled, it is a special right we hold as pats fans.

It seemed like Rex was trying before and during that last jets/pats game, for the first and last time in his jets tenure, to be classy at winning. When it all turned sour, you could see the inner loser surface. May he suffer in mediocrity.

I cheer for the Lions too but they are not in our conference. I wanted to be able to cheer for Rex in Atlanta. Now that he chose to stay in our conference, he remains our enemy. Right now he is plotting how he can steal Revis. Consider that before you cheer for him.

Looks like the no's have it. ;)

I'm not asking if you are going to get a Mario Williams jersey and openly root for the Bills, but I am wondering if anyone is kind of hoping they are decent and ultimately make the playoffs or even eventually win a Super Bowl (at no expense to the Pats, that is.)
No. In what universe do the Jills win a Super Bowl at no expense to the Pats? It's too early to be drinking on a Tuesday. Sleep it off.

Absolutely. I will be rooting for Rex to lose pretty much every week.

I'm not here to kiss Rex's non-existent rings.

If you are asking if I want them to beat the Dolphins and Jets then yes, but I will not actually root for them except those 4 games.

I don't hate Rex Ryan...that's about all the rooting I can ever do for another team. The Bills are probably my least hated AFC East opponent. So if that counts, then yes...

Like 1960 and PWP, I liked Namath and the Jets and the Chiefs winning SB 3 and 4 because I was an AFL baby and hated the way the NFL looked down its nose at the AFL. But, that was a long time ago and now I happily hate everyone but us.

No, not at all, never. Is that emphatic enough ?
