I'm hoping that one of Gurley, Goldman, Dupree, Clemmings or Erving slips through. I'd be elated with any of those. Odighizuwa is also an option, and maybe Shaq Thompson as an all-purpose weapon if BB thinks he's the BPA, though I'm more iffy on that.

Odighizuwa's hip kind of scares me. Outside of that, I mostly agree.

I've made that comment many times. It's my biggest question mark on him by far.

No one mentions Cedric Ogbuehi? If this OT/OG is there at 64 he is a near must draft IMO.

The pick will be ERVING. Small chance of FISHER being taken in round 2 if ERVING is not taken in round 1.

I believe the pats like Shaq MASON G Georgia Tech.

Who knows what other guys they like.

As much as I want upgrades on both lines the idea of adding a Corey Dillon type running back really intrigues me. They have done a great job of adding good OL prospects in mid rounds and I could see an approach where they take Gurley at #32, then move up for Carl Davis or Michael Bennett in the second and then focus on the offensive line in the mid rounds.

Todd Gurley has to be the pick in this scenario. The fact that he's even considerable at 32 is a miracle. He's a top 5 talent, a once every 5-7 year type back. I'm usually in the "don't waste 1st-3rd pick on a back" camp but this kid is super special.

That's my take. He's the exception to the rule. I doubt he'll last to 32, though, so I'm not holding my breath.

Unfortunately I totally agree. Would be a real special opportunity if it came to pass. Seems even less likely now that there are reports he could be ready for training camp.

Of those 3 it is Gurley no question. Generational type talent that is only there because of an injury that has almost become routine to come back from. I don't think he gets to 32, so that dream will stay just a dream.

I don't understand the Irving pick for us a 32 and if someone can explain it to me, I am open to it. I do not want to draft another Center in the 1st round when I got a very good one last year in the 4th. I know that he has position flexibility, but I saw a guy struggle so much at Tackle this year that he was replaced by a true freshman. Could he be an option at Guard, I guess.... I need to go watch more tape of him because I am in the minority on him.

I have made my views on "Diggy" very clear. Hips be damned. In fact, I will go back and watch him just for fun because his tape just brings a smile to my face. I am slowly working on my horizontal board and spoiler alert, he ranks ahead of Gregory.

I rank Diggy well ahead of Gregory for the Pats.

As for Erving, my take is that he's neither a center nor a LT, but he is a 5 positional lineman with versatility who can start at all points on the line. I think he'll make an excellent left guard, and that's where I see his best fit. Grid sees him as a LT. Some see him as a center, though he's quite tall for that position.

My question with Erving is that I think Ali Marpet can be a similar caliber player going a round+ later.

Maxx Williams would be another wildcard at 32. Not sure Josh Mcdaniels' offence calls for heavy use of two TEs so that probably rules it out. However, whilst Williams didn't do all that great in the timed drills at the combine, he was absolutely outstanding in the off-field drills.

If somehow I had to be the GM for the pats starting tomorrow, id ask you to split duties with me. lol

If Dupree were still sitting around at 20-25. How would you feel about trading up? This is the only player I feel would be worth it.
With the way the combine worked out this past week, one of these players is going to be available at 32. Especially considering how Shaq Thompson Preformed. I was expecting more from him, and had higher hopes for his combine numbers. However I think he is one of those players that plays faster on the field.

Lets just hope he stays away from Atlanta and Seattle. Hopefully another team in this copy cat league grabs him. Preferably in the first round pushing another player down the board for us

Seattle, yes. But I'd be fine with him in Atlanta. They have a long ways to go. I'd rather he end up their than in CB-needy AFC teams like Miami, Pittsburgh and Baltimore.

Yeah for sure. He has a lot of potential for a cover 3 scheme. That speed, height, and vert would make him scary in that situation. The problem for Atlanta is finding a good FS. Earl Thomas is such a HUGE part to the success of that Seattle's backfield. The problem is, I highly doubt Atlanta is going to be able to find a safety in this years draft to fill that role, and even looking further to next years safety glass, it doesn't bring much hope in finding another Earl Thomas, Devin McCourty, or Tyrann Mathieu type of player that they desperately need for success with that scheme. It makes me think Dan Quinn has to be trying to get DMAC in FA this season, even more reason I think he is worth the franchise tag.

Interesting you should say that. Damarious Randall is someone I like and what did I see on Twitter today?

I know. He is the player Id want our team to draft if for some reason DMAC left in FA.
He has decent instincts, especially in the run game. However, I'm not so sure his side line to side line coverage skills are good enough for immediate success in that cover 3.
I liked what I seen from him at the combine, but he has a long way to go before he's on that level.

Needless to say, if Dan Quinn nails this draft like he has the potential too, they could be Championship contenders real quick.

Gurley would be the pick for me! First Off, he is a top five talent, with very little tread off his tires! He came in with Marshall (The Auburn QB/DB) and the two of them split time running his freshman year. He missed most of last year with a 6 game suspension for signing autographs and then tore his ACL so he ended up playing only 4 games. He would have easily won the Heisman this year if he played in 10 games. He is big 6'1" and strong and ridiculously fast! HE is a GREAT KO return man too. Plus he can catch the ball out of the backfield.

Even if they have to place him on the PUP list for the first 6 games, having him for the next 5 years (the bonus of taking him at #32, is that you can basically get all of his best NFL years under his rookie deal), would be amazing! Georgia runs a Pro Style offense, so it really shouldn't be tough on him to adapt to the Pro game.

Plus remember all of Gurley's drawbacks are physical and not mental, he has no character or work ethic issues. Basically some guy talked him into signing some jerseys, paid him almost nothing to do it, and then turn around and ratted him our the NCAA.

I would say grab his teammate WR Chris Conley as an under the radar pick too (again, unknown because of injuries and playing with a very sub-par QB) , but since he blew up the combine, he will get drafted much earlier than expected.
