No thanks. 2014 proved beyond a doubt that the best way to win championships with Tom Brady is to give him a good defense not more offensive firepower. The focus has to be on keeping their secondary together while upgrading their front 7, and providing Brady a better OL and run game. Pay Revis and McCourty and try to keep Vereen, Gostkowski, and Ayers. Siliga is going nowhere. After that I'm content with upgrading through the draft.

BTW- I'm not saying I don't want Branch or Connolly back. Only that I would be more than OK if v they could get that done. Harvin is a luxury with problems, don't need him.

Nah, he was bought high by Seattle then dumped cheap. That doesn't happen unless you're a lockerroom grenade. Do not want, save that money for better players on the roster.

Randy Moss. Corey Dillon. Albert Haynesworth. LaGarrette Blount. Chad Ochocinco. Aqib Talib.

All of these players were considered a threat to team chemistry and the Patriot Way. Some worked out, while others didn't. None of them were able to do much damage in the locker room. Also all of them (except maybe Dillon) were bought low.

No reason the Patriots wouldn't take a one year prove it deal from an ultra-talented player, as long as the risk is low.

God, Haynesworth and Ochostinko were huge busts for us. Talib showed flashes then hit the DL when we needed him most. Out of that list, Dillon was the biggest contributor. He was a major player in getting ring #3. Just watched Super Bowl XXXIX season and it was beautiful when he ran down the clock against the Colts in the AFC div round.

No. Just....no.

The only way he ends up a Patriot is if he decides that he really wants to stick it to Seattle and the Jets. Absent that sort of "screw you" mentality, he'll be pricing himself way outside of the Patriots range.

GIf is better :D

Belichick wanted to draft him, but the Vikings moved up ahead of NE and took him. Brad Childress was gloating about it afterwards....

Punched Golden Tate while Tate was screwing Wilson's wife.
Your account of events has not been confirmed.

I'm not much a fan of rumor and TMZ gossip.

I see the fit as lining him in the backfield with the option to run the ball with him acting as a tailback or sending him out for a screen, a out a in running a reverse the fake reverse.
Motion him to the slot he really would serve a lot of purposes.
Replacing Vereen on the routes he ran makes the most sense.
This is what I was thinking too. Perhaps BB is thinking "do I want to pay Vereen 3 or 4 million a year or maybe I can just add a few mil and get this WR/RB hybrid that I've wanted a long time?" He could certainly replace a lot of what Vereen did. I can just imagine the various ways BB would utilize him...

IF, and only IF, Harvin is willing to take less to come here, then I'm all for it. I think that BB and Brady will quell his issues as they have the issues of many before him. I know there's not a ton of cap space, but he could be a missing piece that could fill a dual role of WR threat and 3rd down back. Oh, and KR, sorry Danny. Imagine a specials teams duo of Harvin at KR and Edelman at PR? Jeez!

It might be heretical to say but I would rather him get pulverized returning punts than Edelman.

Between our WRs ands TEs we're fine, in my opinion. I want a topflight pass rusher or two and some offensive line depth.

Would still like to keep Danny A he's all heart.
As far as Harvin new toy and Vereen replacement.
Opens the playbook tremendously, I think I'd even try him deep.
Could do multiple things for us I like it if it happens.
If we resign Revis, Mccourty, Ghost, Ridley.
Then we can focus solely on the offensive and d lines come the draft early and often.

Too expensive too cancerous and he'd end up on ir.
