.....And Now Florio Trying To CYA On Possibility It Was The Colts

That Tim Benz guy probably was spinning it that if the Colts deflated the football, Belichick should be fired, the Pats should be stripped of a first round pick, and fined a million dollars for forcing the Colts' to cheat. That guy is so awful that he makes me miss Mike Salk.

On a side note, I just tuned in and they have Steve from Fall River on who is just spouting his fake anti-Belichick the GM rhetoric.
Benz is a dunce. Did he really think Pats fans would be upset by the Florio piece? Or was he just trying to keep people tuned in to that crappy show.

I didn't hear that segment. It was pretty much over when I got in.

But Benz was adament that Kelly Naqi never accused Jim McNally of trying to knowingly try to introduce an illegal football into the game when she said just that in an interview he conducted with her the day before. And even after they played the clip on the air, he still said she never said that.

Makes sense. He said "deflate gate twist that Patriots fans won't like after the break" then proceeded to repeat this Florio piece.

I heard that as well. She clearly, implicated Macnally and he kept insisting she was just following the story, hadn't implicated anyone, and that ESPN wasn't out to get the Patriots when it couldn't be more obvious they were. He's a Patriots hater and it's a disgrace that WEEI has him on the air.

Your well thought out post assumes we are dealing with logic, common sense, fair play and league responsibility to get it right......that's where I am quite troubled.

Way too many implications for a lot of league people and league leadership for this to be treated any other way than " cover my ass, protect my job and what's left of our reputation" no matter what it means.

Goodell, Kensil, Blandino, Pash and Wells from the league along with the hate driven agendas of ESPN and much of the media and finally, the easily swayed bored public that has already found us guilty will ALL WIN with a simple verdict of guilt or suspected wrong doing but cannot prove type of finding.

If the "league" thinks that framing the Patriots is the best way to accomplish integrity - they will throw our team under the bus faster than they did following Morts initial report.

There may just be too much working against us for truth, which means a favorable outcome for the Patriots, to see the light of day.

I would agree with you except that the league has fallen on its own sword. The attempts to leak damaging information implicating the Patriots has been met with not only refuted reports but ones that clearly put the league in the crossfire.
Had these reports not been leaked, it would have been simpler to focus on the Patriots and not their own practices and motives but we are past that point now.
The NFL has more to answer to the public now than do the Patriots and I believe this is one reason for the delay in the release of findings.

Benz is a major douche. Whenever I hear him say the word Spygate, I text him this message: Pitt: no SB since Milledgeville. I know it pisses him off because he's mentioned it twice.

I think I heard him talk about Roethlisberger rape allegations. He claimed the first one was totally bogus and proven to be so (I don't think it was. I think she just took the money to keep quite since there wasn't any evidence) and the second one was investigated and he was exonerated. No mention that the bar cleaned the bathroom before the police arrived. Definitely a Steelers' fan spin on the incidents.

I rarely listen to WEEI (outside DH) so I don't know much about Benz. I only turn on their show when the Hub is on commercials. Haven't really formed an opinion on Merloni and Fauria but whenever I hear Benz I really don't like him.

So EEI hires this guy Benz, and also John Tomase and then Kirk Minihate goes on national TV to spout THIS:

http://www.billoreilly.com/show?action=viewTVShow&showID=3848

"I believe this was a Brady operation. Am I supposed to believe that a rogue equipment manager or ballboy was monkeying around with equipment before a championship game? That's simply not believable! Brady runs the ship."

Screw WEEI. They are just as bad as ESPN. Worse, actually, because ESPN is publishing to a wider national audience. WEEI publishes to one audience upon which it spits.

I guess he has changed his views...

He's a complete jerk who should have been on the street last year after the Erin Andrews comments.

So now he has no personal convictions - - he can throw Tom Brady under the bus on national television and get away with that?

Sorry. I'm not buying WEEI.

Who would have thought it possible that John Thomase could be the SECOND worse slanderer at a single station?

Minihane should've been let go a long time ago. The words he used in regards to Erin Andrews were not at all appropriate. Not saying one mistake should get a guy automatically fired, but if someone is that dumb & crass, you should re-consider if you want to employ him to open his mouth and speak.

WEEI really should be embarrassed to employ that guy.

In addition, the security footage at the bar was mysteriously erased before the police could review it. According to the cameragate truthers, the only explanation for destroying video evidence is to conceal guilt. By their standards, that should remove any question of Roethlisberger's guilt.

Koma - - here is Jack Kearney - - the man who is probably happiest that Deflategate took the media's attention off of himself:

Report: Lieutenant Called "The Cleaner" Also Steelers Security Chief

I also believe they will be discussing or have already discussed this with the Patriots before the public release to make sure they are on board with findings and presentation.

I hope they're also negotiating Kensil's severance package.

I hope you are right....believe me I do.

It's just that you know the truth, I know it and most of us in this group do.............the hate mongers don't, nor do they care too and even if they do, they choose not to believe it.

All of which brings me back to the only way out for all the idiots I mentioned, is to projectile vomit all over our New England Patriots.

When Mike Reiss asked Roger Goodell if balls had ever been tested during a game before he had no answer for it, because it's unprecedented. And the first person to actually do so is a Goodell luietenant who has absolutely no authority to do so, and he was testing them under false pretenses as the reason he came down was because of one of their employees had screwed with a ball, which had nothing to do with the Patriots balls. The bottom line IMO is that all roads lead back to Mike Kensil. I don't believe that Goodell knew what he was up to or he would have had an answer for Reiss.

Off with his head.

Other than Reis, Holley, Curran, and to some degree Merloni, the Boston media disgraced themselves. Rather than ask some really obvious questions that we were actually asking here they threw as much gasoline on the fire as they could. And many used it as a platform to grind their age old agendas upon, cue up the LOSER entry music for Borges and Shaugnessy with a cameo from beyond the crypt from Bob Ryan.

F*ck em all.
