The 2015 NFL Combine Thread

Jones is a converted WR that has , and I'm quoting someone else here, "Sherman-like ball skills".

I'm just saying I don't expect us to dive in the secondary for picks til at least the middle rounds that is assuming we resign Revis and Mccourty.
I'd that doesn't happen then he could be at play at 32.

Could he move to Safety ala Mccourty?
Does anyone have an idea of his football IQ?

I agree. It's just that this guy won't be a bargain.

I'd take a flier in the third or fourth round.

He'll be long gone. Consider what happened with Phillip Gaines last year. Similar story, but even more athletic.

Didnt think ppl could find a blinky today, may have to take those Words back

The Colts and Jets will be all over him.
I'm sure Bowles is drooling at the mouth to get him in the second.
I could see them make a trade up back to the first for him.
Imagine drafting him and allowing Revis and Mccourty to teach the kid that feels like stealing.

Last year Phillip Gaines was a similar under the radar guy. Very good tape, played very well in man and off-man coverage, tough, physical CB with good intangibles. Day 3 prospect. Then he showed unexpected athleticism at the Combine with a 4.31 40 and 6.62 3C at 6' 0 3/8" 193#. He went #87 overall to Kansas City. Byron Jones will go higher.

Jones isn't running the forty.

Jesse James appears to suffer from Jace Amaro 3-cone syndrome. I believe "jumbo jet" was your term last year.

That whole class is embarrassing. Maxx Williams is definitely not going 1st anymore. Sifrin went from intriguing 5th round option to UDFA, Saxton and Pruitt had "APERP potential" but have the movement skills of Daniel Fells.

Jesse James at least has the size and strength intrigue, but the athleticism is definitely a few slots below where you would hope them to be.

Wow.

Teams will validate his tape now with his insane athleticism and height. He could go in Gilbert's range.

That seems a bit optimistic. In 2013 Collins was discussed as a possible top-15 pick after his insane combine, and fell back to the 2nd round. A lot will depend on how good the tape and interviews are. He's a major wild card at the moment, for sure.

Wild guess could be Eagles at 20 if they aint get you know WHO...

The DBs look better running the gauntlet than the WRs did.

Mike Mayock: "I don't think I've seen a kid catch 3 yet, let alone 5." What was he watching? Ronald Darby, Senquez Gholson, Doran Grant and many, many others.

Definitely a reactionary comment, but after QB, shutdown CB is the next biggest prize/conquest for teams to find. I wouldn't be surprised to see him fly all the way to #1 CB in a weak class.

6'1 with that vertical, he can hang with the Dez's of the world on jump balls.

99% percentile athleticism and elite CB height, his tape just needs to check out. Manx already brought up his intangibles too.

Rooting for the local UCONN product :D
