The 2015 NFL Combine Thread

Danny Shelton: 5.66 40, 1.88 10 split. Slow as molasses. Makes Louis Nix look fast.

I just don't see the Haloti Ngata comparisons. Never did.
I see him as a player who will go a lot later in the draft than most have predicted. I see a space eater and not much more.

I agree he's a space eater and not much more. I hope he goes top 20 based on the hype.

If he's just a space eater, how do you explain the 9 sacks his senior year?

No VJ or BJ numbers posted for Danielle Hunter. I assume he didn't do those. Thought he would excel.

Rakeem Nunez-Roches' broad and vertical jumps are Gerald McCoy, Aaron Donald good.

Bud Dupree doing his Jamie Collins impersonation. 11-6 broad and 42" vertical.

And he said he was fully cleared.

I would expect a prospect to put a good face on things. I would also expect lots of teams to sow disinformation. No idea what it all means - but I would certainly want to sort it out if I were thinking of drafting Diggy with a high pick.

At 19# heavier. Impressive. I expect Dupree to make Vic Beasley's day look pedestrian in comparison.

Preston Smith has had a good combine. I disagree about shelton. He is more then just a space eater. He has pro day to correct those numbers.

And I'm sure teams are. That's drafting 101 and completely meaningless to us with no access to that info.

I think that's what I said. It's just something to be aware of. It wouldn't change my grade for now, but it's something to flag as a possible issue to be addressed. Lots of those with other prospects as well.

Mckinney 40.5" verical

Bernardrick McKinney with a 40.5" VJ. He was expected to do well at that, and did.

Ted Washington was just a space eater. Vince Wilfork is just a space eater. Only when people are experiencing the temporary insanity triggered by the Underwear Olympics is being a space eating NT a bad thing for a 3-4 defense.

Draft is about value creation. Drafting a good player who fits your scheme in the 5th round is value. Drafting a limited player with questionable hips who jumps macula high in the first round is not value.

Amen brother!

That is the bb strategy in a nutshell.

Anderson is generally considered an "unathletic 5-tech", but if he shows positional versatility and continues to show better athleticism, then he's a huge value compared with someone like Arik Amstead.

One problem is the "Stanford Asterisk" on his numbers -- thanks to their unusal training program, Stanford players tend to put up unrealistically good measurables.

Can we stop with this Diggy only jumps high rubbish. I've been a big fan of his since September based upon his tape.

Supply and demand problem. How many 2-gap 3-4 defenses are left in the league?
