The internet is great. I just took a quick "walk" down that parade route on GoogleEarth. :)

I thought about going but I dont have time, it's a few hours away. I'm gonna be driving through his college town in Livingston AL in a couple weeks.

Here's a good radio interview with his College coach.

Apparently he had two pro days. One where he paid $150 to go to the AL pro day, and one in Western Alabama that almost nobody shows up to. This sort of thing really means a lot in those small towns. The coach is running around recruiting saying we had one guy make it to the NFL, now everyone knows the school.

Would love to go but with more snow/rain/ice on the way I'll be up on the roof again
shoveling snow and chipping ice dams........

Here are some pictures from the parade. It looks like a good old fashioned home town parade. I want one of those shirts!!!

So happy for this kid. Feel bad the pressure is going to be so high on him now. But glad he is getting his moment. I think it is just about impossible for a corner to make a bigger play in his career, no matter who he is. Maybe a pick 6 to win the game if we were behind by 6. :)

The term "the butler did it" will take on a new meaning.

The kid deserves whatever he gets and will be a great role model.

A stark contrast to what we'd be seeing if Seattle won.

Parades in the South are much different than Parades in the North, at least the ones I have attended.

Good for Butler, but time to get grounded and start thinking about next season.. will he be another "flash in the pan" or the "real deal".

What I and perplexed by is how many CB's we have drafted and failed as they could not comprehend our defensive system.. but here is a kid who hated school and had educational difficulties, but somehow as able to assimilate into our complicated defense..

Probably his home town is loaded with Saints fans , so it's great to see that type of turnout for him.

Now I hope that he can put all this fame behind him and come into OTA's humble and ready to work hard to improve. There seems to be a lot of upside with this kid if he focuses and works hard. He can really help the team, and help himself and his family in the long run, by working hard.

Gronk proves that book smarts and football smarts are not the same thing. :)

All the Saints fans are still mad about losing in Seattle to throw him a parade like this

More so in his blocking than his passing, IMO (after all, DBs are mere toys for GRONK's amusement).
