He put the great one's name in the same sentence as Peyton Manning, which basically proves he is a dumber than a bag of bricks. Although, he did at least correctly indicate that he would bulldoze Manning on his way to winning a Super Bowl. He could have easily just said "I plan to face Peyton Manning in the Super Bowl." Now, that would have been the same thing as a championship guarantee right there.

I hope I never again have to read an article or blurb that separates #12 and Peyton Manning's names by just three words. I am spraying down my monitor with Windex right now.

One thing about me, I plan on winning the Super Bowl next year so it's going to be Jameis versus Peyton Manning and Jameis versus Tom Brady.

He respects both of them, I don't think that's unreasonable. Other than the fact that he seems full of himself way too early in his career.

At least he is confident. I doubt most guys come in thinking "I'm going to be a mediocre QB and never go to the gig."

He has some baggage no doubt, but let him prove he doesn't belong. Besides, look how far a rapist made it in the black and gold.

What Bob said.

But separating them by just one word is apparently ok... And, also, see first quote.

The curse of the offseason seems to be striking hard and fast this year. Perhaps it's related to the weather.

By the way if Peyton Manning wins the Super Bowl then promptly retires NFL=WWF

I was pretty impressed by today's news conference. He must've gotten some seriously intensive tutoring on public speaking. Today he sounded reasonably intelligent and a decent guy In past media appearances I almost suspected he was mildly mentally disabled. Not kidding.

Bottom line? As I've said before, I'm old enough to remember that it was about 20 years ago when people used seriously to compare Marino to Montana because of Marino's stats. No one seriously mentions them in the same breath anymore. In ten years or so, when Manning has retired with his stats and Brady with his four or five rings and six or seven trips to the SB, no one will seriously be comparing the two of them. Like Marino, Manning will be a footnote and some other hot shot will be challenging his and Favre's records.

Wasn't Jamis originally recruited at Stanford? I wonder what kind of person he would have become there.

To this point, what I do know about him I don't like at all, whether it's the FSU environment or real excess of ego, or both. We'll see how things unfold, however. And whether the sex crime cover-up continues.

I dont like Winston but come on, everyone always says that they want their players to be confident. Would you prefer him to say that he hopes his team can go 6-10?

He's a ****. He might be good enough at football that people will overlook how big of a **** he is. He will not come close to Luck. He will be lucky to be compared favorably to Tannehill.

I don't know whether or not he was recruited at Stanford, but no one should assume that Stanford athletes are of the same intellectual caliber as the rest of the student body. Like Duke, Northwestern, Michigan, etc., Stanford has lower academic standards for athletes. They may be higher than those of, say, Alabama, but since the schools don't like to discuss this issue and don't publish any aggregate SATs or high school GPAs for their athletes, one would only be guessing as to the difference between athletes at academically elite, Division I schools and their cohorts at places like the SEC.

He's an idiot based on his rapes, shoplifting, public profanity on a table etc. Not having played a down and saying you're going to win the super bowl is just Johnny fartball level idiocy and says to all the monster defensive linemen, here I am, fresh meat!

This game ain't that easy on the pro level.

I'm sure his future teammates are happy to know it will be Jameis vs. the NFL. The kind of guys who relegate the team to a footnote are 100% guaranteed busts.

Brady, after winning 4 SBs, doesn't want to compare himself to Montana. This guy hasn't played a down in the NFL and babbles going as No.1 pick, beating Manning, beating Brady and winning the SB as a rookie (with Tampa, one assumes). This is idiocy, not confidence.

It's aspiration. It's only something bad in the minds of people searching for something bad.

"I'm the best decision this organization's ever made"
- Tom Brady, as a rookie

I think that's the point. This kid has no chance.
