That's a shame...

That had to hurt.

What's EPIC is that The Squirrel was initially knocked down but got back up, pursued the play and made the tackle.

A FULL TILT FULL TIME play worthy of its founder Tedy Bruschi.

Injuries are a terrible thing. Had to preface with that.

Edelman laid the boom on the Legion of.... hmmm we need a new nickname.

Too bad that Lane got so busted up, but wasn't he the one that said Gronk wasn't that good? Guess he should have been thinking about someone else on the Pats being "that good." Wishing him a speedy recovery in any event.

bad luck, the tackle was textbook.

Not according to a few Seahawks fans. A few them are saying he went for his knees. Like you said it was textbook and he was just going low to tackle him. He wasn't aiming for his knees like TJ Ward.

And a little off topic but watching the game when Earl Thomas had a shot at Gronk he went for his thigh and brought him down. He didn't go for his knee like TJ Ward did. Which proves it can be done if you try.

With all this talk about how the Patriots offense was going to deal with the Legion of Boom it was the Patriots O who in fact layed the boom.

Not to take anything from TB12 (or Branch) but Minitron deserved the MVP very bit as much as Deion did in 39. He was the hardest baller on the field by far.

I usually point to the Seahawks when people complain that because you can't hit someone in the head, you have to hit them in the knees and ruin ACLs. The Seahawks have a great video where they show their tackling technique, which is all about hiting at the thigh. It lets you avoid ruining knees or giving concussions, while still getting big guys down.

BS. Someone needs to refresh Kam Chancellor for the hit on Edelman in the SB. Chancellor is a head hunter and an extremely dirty player.

Entire video worth watching, but everyone can jump ahead to :45 to see Ben Watson's 100 yard tackle to save a pick 6.

As far as I'm concerned, that was a touchback.

I think Edelman would love to return to the defense every once in a while to be able to dish out the hits, as he did briefly in 2011...I think Vince Young rmemebrs how hard JE hits....

Damn! I'm thinking of buying a Bruschi jersey
