I disagree, Sup, at least to a degree. The league doesn't HAVE to find the Pats guilty of anything to win. They just have to do what I've said they'd do all along. They can find the Pats "not guilty" of deflategate" as long as they add that the reason is they HAVE to, because they can't find definitive evidence beyond all doubt.
By doing it that way the league leaves the Pats twisting in the wind of public opinion, as the haters and league mediots can STILL freely speculate about whether they actually did something. Remember OJ was found "not guilty" as well.
There is a big difference between being found "not guilty" and "innocent". The league wins just by note declaring the Pats INNOCENT and/or finding out and reporting the sources of the inaccurate leaks and punishing the true perpetrators of a non-story that damaged not only the Pats, but the league
BTW - the new slur against the Pats is now "concussiongate". The mediot are desperately jumping on the pseud0-scandal bandwagon that the Pats took advantage by keeping Edelman on the field while the poor Seahawks had to take Avril out of the game.
I'm still waiting for SOMEONE to stand up and say to whatever idiot brings it up and simply say, "what part of 'passed the concussion protocol' don't you understand". Just another complete non-story that somehow is gaining traction. UNBELIEVABLE
