How do you think Welker feels ?

The irony here is that Amendola was suppose to come in and replace Welker.

And for most of that time people (myself included) felt Amendola never lived up to Welker.

How many CLUTCH plays did Amendola make this post season?

Without him we do not win the Superbowl this year! Period! (technically that was an exclamation point)

Amendola made so many clutch plays when the Pats absolutely HAD to have it. Making 5 extra yards when he had no business making them.

Regardless of how Amendola performed early in his contract, he earned every penny of it this year!

That aside I would welcome Wes retiring a Patriot and he will certainly put on the red jacket someday!

Earlier in his contract? So one year when he was hurt?

it has got to eat Manning alive that he score 8 F***ing points on a Seattle team that was inferior to one that Brady score 28 on.

Huh? Seahawks defense was better last year. The defense this year was very good but the Hawks had a ton of guys injured.

As for Welker/Mankins, they're probably a combo of happy/sad. Happy that some of their best friends got a ring but sad they weren't a part of it. It's gotta suck to go to 3 super bowls and not win any of them.

Side note: I hate how people view Welker, he was the heart and soul of this offense for years and redefined the slot WR position (best to ever do it). I'll always love Wes.
