he must have been a huge Dbag to work with

I was listening to a national sports radio show sometime in the last few years. The host or his guest said they saw Warren Sapp going to his hotel room with two prostitutes. So it doesn't shock me that he got caught this time. He probably didn't pay them either. Sapp seems like he's got a lot of problems. Remember when he didn't leave a tip for that young waitress? Then he said it was because she was being racist by calling them "boys".

How did this guy even get a job at the NFL network?

Take this for what it's worth (which is not much), but I used to live and work in Tampa during Sapp's playing days. The place I worked shipped FedEx. It was also a few miles away from the development where Sapp lived. The FedEx guy that picked up at my work was also the guy that had Sapp's house on his delivery route. He said Sapp got a lot of stuff shipped to him, so he was there at least 2 or 3 days a week. So occasionally Sapp was the one that answered the door when there was a package to sign for. He told us Sapp was a colossal douchebag, always yelling at him for stupid stuff. "This box is dented if my (whatever) is damaged I'm gonna get you fired." That kind of thing. I have no proof of this of course, but it certainly is in line with the word on the street about Sapp in Tampa at the time.

worst analyst on nfl network ( says a lot ).

You'd think that if it was OK in America, to drink, smoke dope (in some states) and beat on women, you'd think it would be legal to pay for consensual sex. Just think of the sin tax money legalized, regulated prostitution would bring in. Everybody would win, the girls/guys, the states/cities, etc, and the customers. The way it is now the only organized crime, law enforcement, and the prison industry win.

Yeah, but we also win now that Sapp is gone from NFLN. Thanks, gals! ;)

I know it's an unpopular opinion but, I 100% agree with you. It shouldn't be up to the government to decide whether paying for sex is ethical. It's going to happen anyways they may as well take their cut and make it safer. Also this doesn't get Sapp of the hook because he did assault that girl apparently. I wouldn't have cared that much if he just paid for a prostitute.

thanks for the kind thought, but I have to wonder just how unpopular my position really is?

Dunno tbh. I would think that many would be against it if they tried to legalize it.

They are the same people who continue to fight legalize marijuana, organized crime, law enforcement, the prison industry, and the religious right. 4 groups who benefit DIRECTLY by keeping it illegal.

That kind of small mindedness will weaken over the years as people realize that their world isn't going to fall apart when people are allowed to be people. Early reports out of Colorado show few problems other than how to collect the tax profits and where to put the cash. Of course there will always be some abuse and problems, but there are in every area of the economy.

Eventually when the people realize that we ARE going to have to pay to fix the rotting infrastructure of this country, pay for 2 wars and a continual military presence around the world, as well has national health care and social security; people are going to face the choice of paying with vastly increasing income taxes, or minimizing that increase with sin taxes like marijuana and prostitution, as well as user taxes like the gas tax and various luxury taxes.

Historical note: The largest tax bracket in the US was 94% in 1945. (while the average guy was paying 40-50%) That's what the wealthiest paid in order to pay for the huge national debt that had been incurred by a 5 year world war. It took over 35 years to get those takes down the approximate 35% the wealthiest pay now ( and then only if they have horrible CPA's) and the 20-25% the rest of us pay.

The scary thing is that with those 2 wars, current military costs, infrastructure needs, SS and health care, our gross national debt is approaching the same ratios as we had in 1945. Taxes are going to HAVE to go up, so governments (Federal/State/local) are going to have to look for new ways to raise revenue. The easiest ones to get passed are sin, user, and Luxury taxes. That's why I think that over time, things like legalized marijuana and prostitution will see less and less antipathy.

What I find most ironic is that back in 1945 when people paid vastly more of their income taxes, there was much less complaining about it. People understood why the debt occurred and understood the need to pay it off. It was a civic duty. I find it sad that now the wealthy pay far less of a percentage than ever before and whine like babies whenever April comes around. None of them really care about the COMMON GOOD, but rather their own good. They are so short sighted that they don't realize that what's best for the poorest amongst us, is best for the wealthiest.

And so end this mini-rant, sorry.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) 32,719 people died in traffic crashes in 2013 in the United States (latest figures available), including an estimated 10,076 people who died in drunk driving crashes, accounting for 31% of all traffic deaths that year.

You can ingest enough alcohol TO DIE! So, let's all put young college kids in jail and ruin their futures by the millions because YOU are a goddamned shrieking anti -marrywanner mongoloid. Pot should have been de-criminalized in the late 60's.

Maybe not so much for the girls. I've heard that the legal brothels in NV are God awful places to work. Also, once the state is involved, they'll probably require something stupid like "hooker licenses" (I can't imagine any girl would want a "hooker license" on her background)

It works just fine elsewhere like parts of Europe and Nevada but the "THINK OF THE CHILDREN" types (who coincidentally tend to love sending 19 year olds to die in whatever current middle east quagmire is all the rage) will flip their ****.

Some people are unable to disseminate between something being allowed and something being endorsed. If some woman wants to give up her body to get some money that's her right as a sovereign being. Something being legal is not the rapid path to the decline of society - keeping it illegal is. We have a perfect example in our history of how organized crime and low level gangs thrive when something is made illegal but in typical 'Murica fashion we're not going to stop doing something just because it was proven to be detrimental in the past.

I live in a country where prostitution is legal and believe me it's better that it is illegal in the States. Not because I think prostitution is something disgusting (Hell who am I to judge if a woman wants to sell her body and a man wants to pay for it) but a thing called human trafficking. Most prostitutes in my country are from East Europe and live a horrible life. Also it is one of the shadiest business in the world which attracts all kind of human scum. If the United States would make it legal you can be damn sure that some of the most vile organizations in the world will try to expand their branches even more in the States

Theoratically I have nothing against prostitution but practically it simply attracts to much problems. Btw hooker licenses are a real thing. They have to get themselves checked once a week to make sure they don't have HIV or other STDs

I wonder what the murder/violent crime rates are for the prostitutes and johns in legal/regulated places vs unregulated. And whether human trafficking would go up/down if regulated.
