Still, in that interview and probably in his life in general, he seems like a class act.
Those are names that bring back memories. I used to work at Brandies in the 70's , among other places, as a part time job and in the summer. IIRC Namath was a partner in it, or maybe he was a partner in the Brandies in NYC, I don't know for sure. The place later became a good spot for music. Bonnie Raitt used to play there all the time. Room full of Blues, James Montgomery as well, Rod Stuart and the Winter brothers once showed up after a concert and jammed with local bands till dawn. It was very coolDoes anyone remember his local venture with Derek Sanderson and Ken Harrelson... "Bachelors 3"?? This later became Daisy Buchanans.
Went there one time with wife and friends, sat next to the owner of the Chicago Blackhawks who bought us a drink... after a while he looked at us as if it were our turn, we left could not foot the bill for his party of 8.
Hate in football was not a familiar term then.. it was just a game.
