The problem wasn't that Beefalo was an inferior Team, except to the 1992 CowBoys, who were unstoppable.

The Problem was a matter of Match Ups. Beefalo had a tremendous D, but their Defensive Strength was against the Passing Game, and the Giants, RedSkins, and CowBoys were powerful Running Teams.

Bat Matches for Beefalo, all three'f'm.

I've always considered it a damned shame that for 7 consecutive Years, either Beefalo or the Miners made the Super Bowl, yet never played each other: That would've been an absolutely amazing Game.

The problem for Buffalo is that God hates Buffalo.

GB or Dallas

Its all about the QB. Not a big Romo fan but he did play good this past season.
Sure did. But something seems to happen to him in the post season.

Hey guys!

Thanks for all your posts, some interesting thoughts!

I live in Suffolk which is a county in the east of the UK, about 70 miles from London. My local soccer team is Ipswich Town although I prefer football these days.

Packers and Cardinals are going to be tough next season and I think the Lions and Panthers will be dangerous. I think the 49ers might drop a bit with a new HC and the Rams will be competitive but a lot will depend on their QB situation.

I think Lynch will sign and with Turbin and Michael, we should be deep at RB.

We need another WR threat, maybe Matthews might be the man but some 12's are looking at Larry FitzGerald or Randall Cobb. Hope Richardson can get back from injury and Kevin Norwood comes on.

Hoping on D Kevin Pierre-Louis plays all season as he looked good at LB and Jordan Hill and Brendan Mebane come back from IR. Don't expect Suh to sign as will be wanting too many dollars but if it did happen, our D would be pretty awesome! Need to get the LOB all fit, suspect Maxwell may leave so need to fill the CB spot, Lane would be first choice but he is injury prone so we may look to FA to pick up a vet. Not sure if Simon is the answer as he got picked on in the SB.

In the AFC, the Pats look to be the team to beat - Colts, Ravens, Broncos (perhaps) and Bills (if they get some O) will compete and I think the Dolphins and Chargers are in the mix too. Seems harder to pick out teams in the AFC as quite a lot seem to be pretty similar in strength plus I see more NFC games as a Seahawks fan.

Look forward to hearing your views!

I've noticed Seahawks fans wishing for a big body, fast #1 receiver type, just like Pats fans do year in and out.

But the two winningest teams of the 2014 season didn't have one. Coincidence, short-coming or strategy?

Well, just take a look at the other playoff teams.

GB - Yes
Baltimore - Yes
Indy - Hilton (smaller body, but speed)
Dallas - Yes
Carolina - Benjamin (not great speed, but huge body)

In U.S. team sports, almost any deficiency can be overcome if you have enough strength elsewhere (hell, Trent Dilfer has a SB win, and Rex Grossman got there, so even piss poor QB play can be overcome). That doesn't mean that the deficiency is not a deficiency.

Also, the only reason the Seahawks got to the SB is because of an onside kick recovery. Absence that break, we'd all have been wondering if that Green Bay receiving corps was going to be too much for the Patriots to handle, again.

Ideally Richardson will be fit to play for at least some of next season as he was beginning to be a factor towards the end of the season. Interesting to see Tatupu is back as an assistant coach, think he will be good.

Thanks for all your replies guys!

Hi Pats fans!

I'm a long standing Seahawks fans - been supporting them since the mid 80s so seen some pretty tough seasons which makes the last couple of years so special. I'm a long distance fan as I live in the UK - when football first got shown on the TV here, most of my buddies supported the big name teams like the Cowboys, Dolphins and Raiders but I decided to support a team from a city I had never heard of! One day I would love to go to a game in Seattle, maybe next season...

I have always had a bit of a soft spot for the Pats as one of the earliest games I can remember watching was when John Smith (a Brit!) kicked a FG in the snow in that snow plough match against the Dolphins in the early 80s.

Anyway, thought I would say stop by and say a big congrats to the Pats for winning SB49 - it was a great game, the best SB I have seen. I would have loved it if we had scored a TD at the end instead of the INT but it is what it is and your guy made a great play on the ball. I didn't mind a passing play but didn't like the choice of that particular play but guess if it had ended in a TD, Carroll and Co would have been praised for calling the play.

Hope we can both make it to SB50 when we get a chance for some revenge. Think there is a pretty good chance of that happening as both rosters have a stack of talent.

Congrats again guys.

Kev
Ever since the Revolutionary War, you guys have been hating on us. Kidding. Thanks for checking in, and best of luck.

The Seahawks ability to dominate on defense in this era is so impressive. There is a Grand Canyon sized gap between them an everyone else In the league on that side of the ball
